Quite often but I'm more aware of it now and try to keep it under control!

I used to get told it's the lowest form of wit but what with wit being the highest form of intelligence...

      and humour!

      lol

      I like that myriad.

      Excellent point.

I like being sarcastic with a dead-pan voice so that people aren't sure if I'm being sarcastic. That causes a lot of confusion and fun.

The Brits are pretty good at sarcasm and irony. The highest form of wit I believe. Or was that the lowest? I forget.

      That explains sooo much!

      My genealogy is mostly British.

      Ha!

      Go figure.

What sarcasm? Who's sarcastic here? Sarcasm does not exist.

I love it and couldn't live without sarcasm and irony. The best is when people don't detect it and take it at face value. It's mean I know, but it's so much fun!

      Evviiiilllll!

      I'm sooo gullible. lol

I sure can dish it out, but when it comes to getting the best of me, I really can't detect sarcasm (if they're really good at covering it up).

Irony is inclusive. The banks got bailed out. The auto industry wants to get bailed out. But the people who need to be bailed out will have to go through credit checks and with the economy the way it is and the bad affects it can screw with a persons credit report. The banks and auto industry should remember all of this when next they refuse credit to hard working honest Americans.

Do you think that the auto industry could save millions by just advertising their autos only one time per month? TV ads are extremely expensive but even though they claim to be running out of cash, they keep running the ads. They need to get responsible.

I bet you'll always be endearing and wear you cap backwards. I wear my cap the same way.

Mine is apparently often too subtle, if you can imagine anything about me being subtle.

Go figure the one thing you don't want subtlety in is the one thing I manage to inject it into.
    1. Dukepro25
      lol

      Nice!

I prefer to think of sarcasm as wittiness... i know there is a difference, but I think people often misinterpret sarcasm/wit/dry-dark humor/satire... often demonize it and dismiss it... but that's not my problem if my sense of humor is not compatible with theirs.
    1. Dukepro25
Demonizing is never a good idea.
  10. Ryleigh
haha I should have majored in sarcasm/smartassness...
    1. Dukepro25
I've often been called a smart@$$, but I honestly have no clue what they're talking about. lol

I'm sarcastic a lot and once in a while, it's gets me in trouble 'cause it can come across as mean. I try not to be mean-spirited, it just sometimes comes out that way.
  12. lulubelleb
What is this sarcasm of which you speak? As a loud, obnoxious New Yorker I am sure I have never encountered it.
    ;^D
    1. lulubelleb
I don't get people who don't get sarcasm.
  13. PrincessQuello

i don't like it when it comes from someone who is obviously angry and i try to avoid using it when i'm angry, so i have few problems with it.
    1. Dukepro25
Is it sarcasm if done in anger?

Or is it just a personal attack?

      Hmmm...

*Duke sinks in to deep thought

every time I open my mouth lol
  16. True
NOOOooo NEver. Actually, the only time I have ever gotten in trouble for sarcasm is from small minded people who can't see the big picture. They are usually too ignorant to get it and then get offended.
  17. Nomadic
The Brits do a good line in tongue in cheek too. No pun intended.
    1. True
The Brits have the corner on dry humor/sarcasm! Cheers!
