The satanic bible and satanism has nothing to do with Satan/devil/lucifer, it is an atheistic religion and is called 'satanism' to put itself in direct contradiction to christianity.
-
Uh, no.
"Atheistic religion" is an oxymoron. Atheism = no god = nothing to worship = no religion.
The very word "atheism" literally means "without god." You cannot have a religion without something imbued with godlike qualities to be the lawgiver and/or object of devotion. It is therefore impossible for those who have no belief in god/gods to have a religion. Atheism is not a belief system, it is a lack of belief in the existence of god/god.
Satanism holds a belief in the existence of Satan. It's adherents worship Satan. Satanism, therefore, is a religion. Satanists are not atheists. Satanism, because it believes Satan...a being with supernatural powers...to exist, by definition cannot be described as atheistic.
Why is the basic concept of atheism so difficult for people to grasp? It is bone-simple: atheism is a lack of belief in god(s). That's it. -
Atheistic Satanists are atheists and regard Satan as a symbol of man's inherent nature
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Satanism#Atheistic_Satanism
Thestic Satanists is a form of Satanism with the primary belief that Satan is an actual deity or force worthy of reverence or worship.

You are aware, aren't you, that wikipedia entries are written by people like you and me? While the entries often contain lots of interesting information...accurate information, too...wikipedia entries need to be read with your common sense turned fully on.
The literal meaning of atheism is "without god(s)." With NO exception, when you use the word, you refer to a circumstance in which there is NO belief in god(s), including such powerful supernatural beings as Satan. An atheist might view the concept of Satan as a symbolic construct to exemplify evil, but a true atheist no more believes Satan exists as a true entity than you believe the Tooth Fairy is real.
Go to your nearest on-line dictionary and look up the word "oxymoron." The phrase you used, "atheistic religion," is an oxymoron...there is no such thing, not withstanding atheists who use Christian symbology to attempt to get complex concepts, [sarcasm] like the meaning of atheism, [/sarcasm] across to the more simple-minded among us.
No amount of self-definition can change the fact that "atheistic religion" is an oxymoron, a contradiction in terms, and impossible to exist. -
@sweetviolet
your definition of 'religion' is wrong.
-------------------------------------------
Compact Oxford English Dictionary
religion
• noun 1. the belief in and worship of a superhuman controlling power, especially a personal God or gods. 2. a particular system of faith and worship. 3. a pursuit or interest followed with devotion.
— ORIGIN originally in the sense "life under monastic vows": from Latin religio ‘obligation, reverence’.
------------------------------------------
I happen to be an atheist, I know what it means. I also happen to know what Satanism is. It is also not the only atheistic religion. Jains don't believe in god, nor do Buddhists, many Sikhs interpret 'god' as a representation of the universe. Many modern pagans are atheistic pagans (including myself) who view ideas of a deity as poetic personifications of nature, not as real beings.
There are some 'satanists' who worship satan, but they aren't reading the satanic bible. Real Satanists don't worship satan, their core belief is that they should not have anything as their god, not Christ, nor drugs, nor money...that they should have utter control of themselves.
Please learn something about what you're talking about before asserting your superior knowledge. -
Atheistic Satanism are actual atheists who regard Satan as a symbol of certain human traits.
Theistic Satanism believe that Satan is a true supernatural diety.

Unlike Theistic Satanists, LaVeyan Satanists are atheists and agnostics who regard Satan as a symbol of man's inherent nature

@SweetViolet.....I am not arguing with you, now on to the rest of this discussion.

Do you worship "the Dark Lord"?
*starts to hear Harry Potter theme song in head - starts singing to it*
No. Don't worship any kind of 'shady' being. I don't believe in it. I believe demons, devil, etc. to be manifestations of the human psyche - the part of ourselves that we try to deny. That's it. Should we give into that part we try to deny? Not necessarily. That's what transcendence addresses. It keeps people within peace, harmony within their bodies, and in harmony with the reality of the world/universe/people, if only people cared about finding it.
Now onto names. The devil, Lucifer, and Satan have seperate and distinct mythological origins. Research, and you'll find this to be true. -
LOL - I like your disclaimer.
I was raised by buddhists, so we never had a devil that I know of. But I love movies about him. -
I'm out the door now but wanted to leave you with this

So you actually started it? haha
Yes I believe in them - but also believe that all demons claim to be the devil. I was doing a bit of research on the book "the lesser key of solomon" and listed the names of 72 demons that pull rank in hell.
On a fictional note: The book "the decent" by jeff long, offers some pretty thoughtful theories to who the devil is, and suggests that most cultures suggest that the devil comes from the underground therefore it leads to an underground expedition to find him, the movie "the decent" in my opinion is loosely based on the book, but only in terms of the opening sequence of the book.
Hmmmm makes me wonder if there are still evil people who live in caves still in this day in age....... -
No
No
No
I believe in me, I found that I always have to create my own destiny and solve my own problems.
We are all made up of energy, you can either be positive or negative the choice is yours!
That being said, I also believe that how we live our mortal life will have a direct effect on our after life.
Crazy maybe, only time will tell LOL. -
Whether I acknowledge the existence of a being has little to do with whether I actually believe in that being.
I have indeed dealt with daemons. I don't take that lightly. But facing them can be useful indeed. Enough said.-

"There are probably dozens of different religious belief systems and practices that have been called "Satanism." Depending upon the precise meaning given to the word, the total number of Satanists in the world can be anything from a few thousand to four billion individuals . "

Do you believe in Demons and have you ever seen a Demon?
Yes, i believe bcs of some of my personal experiences. I had a kind of "Sleep paralysis" when i was ignoring Jeens. Actually i had read something about Devils and teased about them thinking they are unsensible and old stories.
At night while i was sleeping, i woke up but couldn't have moved my legs or arms. I was locked. Then he asked if i believe, i said "no". Then i felt something hold me up suddenly and asked several times more. I felt like i was dying. I said "yes" and prayed the God. Then i came back.
Now i'm here

When did I ever have a Jesus discussion on this main bc platform?
If you are referring to the Group discussion from VoodooKobra well that is entirely different and away from this main bc discussion platform. I am sure that Group was created as a diversion to lessen down this main bc discussion platform from seeing too many Jesus/God threads.
