Second life or virtual life game, an alternative?

Could be this kind of games our second chance ? 
I am playing now something i've found on youtube www.youtube.com/watch?v=GFB6nSc3r8k , it's strange if u think that there are over 2 millions players.So this could only cost us internet conection, meals and everyone wold be a fat a** at the end of the pc :))

For starters, that youtube link is for a place where people pretty much go there to get naughty lol .. not my thing. I do know people who have used and use Second Life though (some for the same reasons mentioned above).
As for it being or becoming an alternative. I think that's a very easy web to fall into. If your someone who is home all the time and you don't really have a life outside the house then this is the type of program you could get lost in very easily..
I see nothing wrong with playing in these virtual worlds providing you have your wits about you. I watched a DOC not too long ago about a women who actually left her husband and 3 kids because of an avatar she fell in love with on SL ... That's a big nuts if you ask me.-
thats crazy , it should only be a game , to have fun ..
