thanks, I installed it but it looked like i needed to donate, so i pulled it out. I don't mind paying but i want to be sure I like it first

      cheers Tony

I use it on my blogs and I never had to pay. If you don't want all in one, check out headspace. It is actually better than all in one. I use it more

i have used all in one too. Its good. And there are so many of them free around. all you need to do is click the seo tag cloud when adding plugins. u see a list of all that is available. Not many are paid. Then choose the one according to your requirement.

the requirement is to totally dominate the internet in areas except porn

ooh. Tony once you succeed plz make me ur apprentice.

by the way the all in one seo pack may lack some thing for good redirection and old url tracking for which u might have to take a look at 'redirection' or some thing like that. I dont remember the name exactly.

All In One SEO doesn't require payment. But you do have to re-enable it after activating it -- an extra step which is annoying.

I use all in one as well. I never even knew how ot use it until recently even though I had it installed and turned on for a long time.
I do think you have to know what the above poster said you have to reenable it after every upgrade, and they upgrade like every second, and though it is annoying the plugin is free.

    Tony,
Are you using this plugin now? I'd love to know if you were able to get it configured and working on your site. I'm thinking of adding this WP plugin and would appreciate hearing about your experience.

What settings are you using? Are you using other SEO plugins?

What's the URL of your site?
    1. acousticguitarist
no others, I just put it in today. theguitars.net I haven't set any of the parameters yet. tHe video tute said leave as default, but default is actually everything turned off. As I have had a 150,000 visitors to that site, I'm not prepared to get it wrong in case it over rides what already works. Cheers.

Here are my settings, feel free to use or not as needed. I am using version 1.6.4.

    Plugin Status: Enabled
Home Title : (write your title here)
Home Description : (write your site's overall description)
Home keywords : (your homepage keywords)

(you have to set your home title, description and keywords separately from the rest of the blog)

    Canonical URLs: Yes
    Rewrite Titles: Yes

    Post Title Format: %post_title% » %blog_title%
    Page Title Format: %page_title% » %blog_title%
    Category Title Format: %category_title% » %blog_title%
    Archive Title Format: %date% » %blog_title%
    Tag Title Format: %tag% » %blog_title%
Search Title Format: %blog_title% search results: %search%
    Description Format: %description%
404 Format: Nothing found for %request_words%
    Paged Format: » Part %page%

Use Categories for META keywords: Yes
Dynamically Generate Keywords for Posts Page: Yes
    Use noindex for Categories: Yes
    Use noindex for Archives: Yes
Use noindex for Tag Archives: Yes
    Autogenerate Descriptions: Yes
    Capitalize Category Titles: No

    Additional post headers: <meta name="robots" content="noodp,noydir,noarchive" />

Now when you write a post, below the text area there is an "All In One Seo" tab where you can enter the description and keywords for that particular post. Otherwise the keywords and description will be auto-generated. Also, the tags you enter will be combined with the keywords in the meta keywords field when the page is generated.

thanks, I assumed that might be the case, also based on the short video. I just didn't wish to to break something that works. Thankyou

I have been watching this thread. Although I do use the same plugin I haven't been using it very long and was apprehensive about sharing my settings in case they weren't right. No JP has shared his U know I'm doing it right - yay!

      @JP
      Thank you.
    3. acousticguitarist

    1. acousticguitarist

No problem, now all you need are some tutorials on neoclassical arpeggios and your site will be perfect!
    1. acousticguitarist
interesting, I think I've only ever posted a couple of arpeggio's, more as warm ups. Will think about doing some unusual ones
    2. acousticguitarist
I also have acousticguitarists.net I can't even remember what I've posted any more to honest

    All in one SEO

I use Headspace tho... for writing descriptions and keywords for each blog post...

All in one SEO plugin is OK, but is far from perfect. If you don't mind spending a little the Thesis theme is the best on the market
