How can I explain this. My site is still PR0 but my last post is PR3.

I finished the post and bookmarked it using some dofollow bookmark sites. That's all I've done.

I use the AlexaSparky and SearchStatus firefox plugin and they are both saying the same thing.

I only made that post earlier on. Is it possible for individual posts to have their own PR? And gain it within a matter of hours? Or am I missing something.

My site www.sellyourmobile.info/ PR0
My latest post www.sellyourmobile.info/2009/09/comparison-review-mopay-vs-fonebank.html PR3.

Can anyone confirm this?

In my Google toolbar your latest post has no PR, and your home page has PR0. And yes, all pages/posts have their own PR, not just the home page. In my experience, individual posts/pages never rank above the homepage, but it could be possible.

Thanks for your reply husdal. I have asked in other places as well. My assumption is that my toolbar was showing the PR of the last page I was on. Why it kept showing PR3 when I was opening the posts page in a new tab though I don't know.

I have learned since that yes internal pages can actually have a higher PR than the homepage. But this was likely caused by the last site that I was visiting and Sparky and SearchStatus not updating properly for the page I was on.

Checked since and page is showing Unranked.

I'm also not seeing any page rank information for your post, but it is definitely possible for internal pages to rank higher than your index page. This has happened frequently on my webzine when a particular article gets a lot of direct traffic (several thousand to tens of thousands of hits) and attracts a lot of inbound links.

She knows her stuff, and as usual, she's dead right.

Try to refresh the page. I guess the particular page that has PR gained more traffic and IBLs. Its normal.

    YES!
    PR=Page RANK

But don't get confuse with other sites' PR, It happen when you open multiple site in your browser. Other PR will show up on your browser if you don't refresh the pages.

Just don't wory about it. PR is basically a shiny pretty object to distract the masses with.

The numbers you see now are OOOOoooooollllllllld anyways and unless you are doing some SERIOUS tracking (you aren't) they mean nothing in the context of your blog.

All that matters is are people reading, and for that you need to use a diverse portfolio of traffic building exercises, the last of which to worry about is GPR.

Thanks for your responses guys. Good input. I have just noticed Mopay the mobile phone recycling site I was comparing have listed me on their news page. So I'm on the Mopay website and the page in questions link. That might have something to do with it. I feel famous
