Sex without love !

For me sex is a big emotion and I cannot understand it not being in love, I can feel it without love, but the passion is definitely lacking. What does BC members think about this ? Do you like sex with out love ? I don't like it, it then just becomes a need.

Sex without love is basically lust. I don't need to be in love with someone in order to have sex with them. For me it's just a physical need.-
Does that mean I am too emotional, Is it OK or not to be emotional ?

There's nothing wrong with being emotional. Some people just make the physical/emotional separation regarding sex. Others can't have sex without emotion, and some don't feel comfortable having sex with emotion. I'm jaded, so I'm not really the right person to ask.

I prefer sex without love - I am not an emotional person anymore and my sexual preferences get wilder as I get further into my 30's - emotion gets in the way of animal instinct. Having been single for almost 3 years, I can tell you the quality of my sex life has not changed whether I was married, involved with a man or just random POA's.-

i couldn't i have only had 1 sexual partner (xcept or my lesbian days as a teenager, which don't count since we just fooled around)

A great problem, perhaps, is the necessity of vagueness in the word "love" in English. One word does not cover the gamut of feelings a person can have. Do I have to be head-over-heels to have sex with someone? No. Do I usually like their personality, maybe even enjoy their company? Yes.
It would be hard for me to have sex without like. Easy without undying crazy love, though. -

the older I've gotten the more I've appreciated an active sex life with love. I'm past my wild oats days and the knowledge that I love the person I sex up on a regular basis adds to my life. Knowing that in return he feels the same towards me gives me a sense of completeness I need. When I was younger it was different and love didn't enter the fray but I'm not so young any more and my needs have changed.-

There is having sex, and there is making love. "Having sex" is copulating with someone you don't necessarily love, but you at least lust for. "Making love" is copulating including the passion of love with someone you love.-

I cannot accept having sex without feeling something for the other person. Otherwise it's cheaper that what a whore does on a daily basis. At least for me. Congrats for those who can have sex just as eating their dessert -
When I was younger sex without love was fun and exciting. However, as a mature happily married women I can't image having sex without love now. The 2 go together for me and it's much more satisfying.
