Do we get to talk trash about Gordon Brown?
    1. aningeniousname
Don't talk trash about Gordon we all love Gordon Brown because he has texture like sunlight.
    2. Epicharis

    4. Epicharis

    5. aningeniousname
"Gordon Brown texture like sunlight" is from the stranglers song about him.

I actually know a bit about Labour, because Obama's policies are derivitive of Blairism, but what are the Conservatives about there?

Or do they call them Tories, I lose track?
    4. Epicharis
The Conservative party is nicknamed the 'Tories'...I do not know why...I think it's a 200 year old joke...The Conservatives are the same as Labour...only more smug... There used to be a difference, but they are basically the same now...
    5. Agit8r
Tories used to be those who supported Monarchy as a part of actual government, while the Whigs wanted government by parliament and elected/appointed executives. I think that the Liberal party still have the nickname "Whigs"
  3. polybore
Polybore is in and getting warmed up.
    1. aningeniousname
Is that what you say to Mrs Polybore?
    2. Epicharis
am I going to get told off?
    3. polybore
aningeniousname Yes, in case they have not noticed. Which is highly likely. Lets just say polybore drives a large powerful car to make up for other, er, shortcomings.

SiuilARuin polybore is not judgemental or any other -mental either. Incapable of error yes, judgemental no.
    4. Agit8r
Mrs. Anin just watches for "pre-dinner juices"
  4. Epicharis
    erm...bump! (last bump, I promise!)
    1. Agit8r
you're excused... oh, thought you said burp
  5. crpitt
Why did you decide to set up the group?
    1. Epicharis
because I was jealous of the americans with their whole board to talk about politics!
    2. Anok
Actually I should join just to watch and learn...
    3. Epicharis
it is a bit echoey in there at the mo...hopefully more people will join...though I can't think of any more Brits to invite! Know any?
    4. Anok
None that are really active. Sorry - it's also been slow at the "US" political board lately, too.

      It's spring!
    5. Agit8r
people are too busy mating to care that they are going to Work Camp?
    6. Anok
      Yep.
    7. Agit8r
wonder what happens to people who get caught mating in Work Camp
    8. Epicharis
anyone else find the politics discussion board really slow to load? By the time it loads I can't be bothered anymore!
    9. Agit8r
No, and I have dialup even...

The Ministry of Truth is probably tracking you
    10. Epicharis
