First Game I became addict to was runescape. Been Playing for About 3Years. It was a blast meeting new players, Fighting Others in the wild, Going to falador Party, Creating My new House, Getting Dragon Items, Exploring New contents and Mini Games. I played this game for hours and achieved Level 90 Through out the years on and off. Do to Removing Wild, Kids running around trying to scam Players, Farmers, Friends Starting to quite, My account kept getting locked from some kid trying to Change Password on my account (Nub! Haha) I decided it was time to move on. Found a new game called Dofus, Turned based Strategies. Had so much Fun, Spend about 4 hours a day on and off. It has a great community, Fair amount of Free content. It became boring for about 2weeks because To have a magnificent Time playing, I had to Buy to get new content. Yeah it was unfair, They should have just implemented a Cash Shop and Established all the content free? Oh well, Got my 2 weeks worth.

Did my research on Professional Mmo portals such as, Mmosite, Mmorpg, Mmolife. I had to Step my Game up to 3D with better graphics. But, I couldn't just download these games and run it with a Low end computer. I had to Work hard for it, I had to do chores, Work in a Fashion Clothing Store, Save up my money for a decent Computer. My first 3D game was Wow. Wow Was amazing both Graphic wise and Game play wise. Wow got me addicted to the point where I miss dinner and Kept on playing. The addiction Got worse where My mom had to force me to come downstairs and Interact with Real Life! I had good time with Wow, Until it just got boring after a while of avid playing. Eventually, I tried to find something new that was Different then playing a role of a Fantasy character.

I've moved on to First First person shooter. My first Fps Were Counter strike source, Combat arms, Crossfire. I played competitively In combat arms and crossfire. Only reason I didn't in CSS because You had to have Vent, Had to be Very serious, Had to have experience in Scrims (Which I didn't have) I just wanted to be in a laid back clan. Most clans in CSS weren't like that. At least not the ones That i have found. I love in FPS, You had to use good team play and played a role of Either Terrorist or Military. I grew up watching Military Movies and God Father. So i was fascinated With these kinds of games. Crossfire, I played at least 300hours on Xfire, 500+Hours without Xfire. Combat arms, It was good. Just pick a Weapon that you like to use and Start Owning! XD The bad part of it, I was becoming Hostile, I liked being locked in my room. I didn't want any interruptions. (That's what my sister and Brother are good for) Didn't want to spend time with my family, Didn't like hanging out with my friends anymore. It all changed when my mom turned off the internet (NOEESSS)

wow, that is a way diff experience then me.
My first, first game ever was The Legend of Zelda for Nintendo.
My first FPS was Wolfenstien. I had to run it through DOS cause I didn't have the megabit or whatever, of ram it took to run both windows and Wolfenstien at the same time.. lol
My first really playable online game was a game called BOLO (a 2D little tank game.) But before that I used to play two player on Warcraft 2 with my neighbor over direct connect.
Didn't play my first MMO til GuildWars game out. Then I moved quickly to Eve online.
I have been a gamer my entire life and I never see a future time in my life where I am not playing a game. I am at all times in the process of playing at least two games. I see video games as a form of art, much like movies or books.

My very first video game experience was playing Pong home unit in the mid 1970s.

My very first computer game experience was playing Zork (then called "Dungeon") in the late 1970s.

My first multi-game console experience was the Atari in the late 1970s-1980.

My first FPS was Doom (just missed Wolfenstien) in the early 1990s. My first MMO was Warbirds (WWII air combat) in the mid 1990s.

I haven't played a new console system since Super Nintendo/Sega Genesis of the 1990s, and I haven't played a new computer game (other than a WoW expansion) since F.E.A.R. of 2005.

And of course, I must mention playing video games at the 25-cent arcades during the 1980s (my teenage years).

I'm not sure where I began with games, I just remember playing since very young (about four or five). I remember duck hunt, all the marios, streets of rage, golden axe, little ninja brothers, final fury (I think it was called). I loved them all and was able to always get all consoles because I hated not being able to get one game since it didn't exist on the other system.

I remember an old computer game I was addicted to called Scoop...I remember playing Myst, Zork:Nemesis, TimeLapse, Carmen Sandiego, etc. At some point I really loved the mystery and point/click adventures like Circle of Blood, Day of the Tentacle, Monkey Island, The Dig..played them all and still recall the fond memories of being immersed! I did enjoy Wolfenstein, Duke Nukem and Doom as well...some others like Hexen ring a bell but I can't remember what that was about!

I enjoyed Survival Horror genre although I only got into those after my first Playstation...Silent Hill, Resident Evil, Dino Crisis were amongst favorites.

I think my first RPG was Skies of Arcadia. After playing that I made sure to get all the RPGS I could get my paws on...Chrono Cross, Chrono Trigger, Persona, Legend of Dragoon, Final Fantasies...felt like I was living in those fantasy worlds so playing those games were even more fun.

Nowadays, I have some trouble playing games that end since being introduced to MMOs. Last I played was some Bioshock and Mass Effect but I still go back to Warcraft. I would like to delve back into my RPG love fest someday though. My good tv is back home though and I (well we) need to buy a new sexy one..the one here is a crappy little box. I like to see my games on big screens lol.

No one in my family questioned my passion for video games (and wrestling, which ended when it started being too terrible post 2001). If I mention it to randoms, they might question it like I'm wasting my life but it's a good thing their opinions mean zilch to me.

Anyway, I've left out a ton of games (Toe Jam & Earl, Earthworm Jim, etc) but I could write for days and not finish this post. I'll never stop loving video games or pc games. Ugh you made me want to go and get that new TV now haha shame on you!

right on, Video games are a great past-time, and those who look down on it are fools. While playing video games you are using your mind, your thinking, making decisions, developing strategies. No as much can be said for other forms of entertainment i.e. Watching Sports games, Watching Movies, or well, watching anything. In this way video games are much more compatible to hobbies like playing cards or playing sports.
      Keep on gaming.

As someone above also mentioned, I find the majority of games I have played have been like taking lead in a movie role. Instead of watching the events, I get to play them out, exploring the worlds within. It's been incredibly fun and I've never regretted a minute of it (or all the parties I may have missed! heh).

I remember mario of course, and zelda on gameboy. used to play them alot!!!! then i moved on to computer games, and my first was called Team F1 and damn i got soo addicted to it. I think i reached season 2010 or something, and it started of from season 93.
I got hooked on red alert 2, used to play it for hours each and every single day. I also liked heritic, it was abit older then red alert 2, 1st person shooter but had monsters and demons and stuff like that. But since 99, ive been really into championship manager, and have been buying one each year now. I never get bored of managing football teams and trying things out.
    Nice topic by the way!!!
