I don't believe in soul mates, because soul mates is only a concept
  2. melindaville
Yes, soul mates exist--and I have found mine. I believe it is possible for people to have more than one soulmate though.
  3. dbowles1017
Yes. It just so happens to be myself though.
  4. freshtunesfinland
How do you define a soulmate then?
  5. stellak
    I clearly havent met mine.
I not convinced about the soulmate concept, I think its just a rommantic ideal.

Have you met your soul mate?
I have met more than one soulmate and I'm currently married to one of them.

Do you believe every person has a soulmate
I believe we all have multiple soulmates. (See below)

How do you know when you you see or meet your soul mate?
I connection was instantaneous (See below)

One can find this question posted in virtually every online forum and it's been posted here many times. Some people use this definition: the romantic belief that every person soul has a single counterpart and true happiness and fulfillment can only be found by meeting and joining with that one and only one soul mate ... www.is-this-it.com/pages/GlossaryS.htm

Well, to accept that definition one has to believe they are incomplete and need to find that one and only one person to complete them. Rubbish!

Others use this one: Soul mate is a term sometimes used to designate someone with whom one has a feeling of deep and natural affinity, friendship, love, intimacy, sexuality, spirituality and/or compatibility. ... en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Soul-mate

I don't believe that I or anyone else has one and only one possible soul mate as proposed by the first definition. I believe each of us can have many soul mates who meet the criteria in the second definition I have posted above. I have experienced the fact there are other possible soul mates (refer to the second definition I posted above) that I could have successfully partnered with in this life, aside from the man that I married.

I believe holding onto that “one and only one soul-mate” (twin soul) belief means that we overlook the other possible partners we could form mutually supportive, and loving long term relationships with.
    FWIW I blogged about this:
    Love the one you're with

I have found mine, and I think perhaps we do have soulmates out there we just have to find the right one

If there is such a thing as a soul mate, I haven't found mine and I'm not sure I even want to at this point.

Soul mate...I never really processed what that means. If it's someone who matches you or appeals to you in the most personal and indepth way and feeds you in ways others cannot? If that's the case then yes, my big sister, my best friend, my grandmother. If soul mate means the man I'm supposed to fall for and love the rest of my life, then no. At least I haven't realized it yet.

We often think we have met our soul mates during the initial period of our love life and later on change our idea.

Soul mate is an ideal love partner that does not exist in real life we can find them in stories though.
  11. wagerwitch
I am with my soul mate.

Every morning I wake up and see him beside me - still sleeping, I thank all eternity that we are together.

I breathe him in - and smell his body - and it makes me want to just melt into him...

He is my soulmate --- and has been for a very long time.
  12. footiam
    No. Have no soul myself.

I think people talk very loosely around the concept of soul mates, like. there being more than one soul mate for every one. What's the point of talking about soul mates if there can be more than one? I just don't get that. Sure there can be someone who you fall head over heals in love with and spend all your days with, but does that person have to be your soul mate? I don't think so. I know it's just a matter of definition and linguistics, but why does everything have to be labeled as something else, why can't you Just meet an extraordinary woman, why does it have to be a soul mate this and that. That just seems like such a waste, imagine people looking their whole lives for a soul mate when they could have had such bliss and happiness without the disney preconception. End rant there.

Besides, if there was a whole soul mate scheme, wouldn't you think it's quite convenient that your soul mate just happened to live in the same city or country as you, there being over 6 billion people in the world and all.. ? Or maybe Amor just happened to be a very limited person
    1. SweetViolet
I agree with you 100%...especially that last paragraph!
    2. melindaville
I think it is possible to find more than one soulmate. There may be others that exist in other countries. I don't think it is a 'one time' exclusive type of thing.

My cousin is currently dating with someone from promatching.com and she thinks she has found her soulmate. Do you believe one can find love online? And that too a soulmate?
  15. omershaikh
no , finding an islamic religious arab girl. if any arab girl intrested in me , just contact with me
  16. Floormodel
yes I have but it's not the person I'm spending my forevers with. Soulmate is a confusing term because a soul mate may match you perfectly but not be the right person to live happily ever after with. My soul mate is now my best friend, a relationship both of our partners are aware of and not threatened by. We tried but sometimes those things that make you soulmates also make it impossible to coexist too close in the same space. No amount of trying can make it work sometimes.
My world is happier with the life I have and that person is still in it, just in a different role. I do not feel that a soul mate is the best person for a romantic partner, it sounds good on tv or in the movies or the pages of a housewife porn novel but in reality land things often work a different way. And that's really not a bad thing.

q: is it soulmate or soul mate?
  17. nothingprofound
Soulmate? No-the term is too mystical, and too full of longing. Someone whose company you enjoy and can basically get along with-sure.
  18. IntoTheAzureSea
Not entirely, it can be a very disappointing process as you age and mature in life.
  19. yunyi2009
my soulmates change all the time, because i myself change all time, i have different soulmates at different time, especially after reach middle age, i have found some of my friends who i once considered as soulmates no longer understood me like they used to be. i don't know which side changed.

Have you met your soul mate?? I do believe so

Do you believe every person has a soulmate ?? Yes. I didn't but now yes

How do you know when you you see or meet your soul mate? With me it was like nothing I have ever experienced but felt like I've always known... and then he crushed me. Now I am going to be a bitter player
  22. ushakrishnan
I believe I have. I also believe you can have multiple soul mates who appear at different points in time. I think I knew my spouse was/is my current soul mate the moment we met coz it just seemed like we've known each other forever! It still feels like that
  23. Epicharis
I don't believe in the idea of 'soul mates'...I'll let Tim Minchin explain:

I have two soulmates, one on the bottom of each foot. They're so good to me. They take me anywhere I want to go without complaint. They have been tough enough to go with me throughout the roughest of terrains, and yet have been sensitive enough to enjoy a good little romantic tickle now and again. I'm glad I have them.

Oh, hang on... I may have mispelled "soul".
    1. boytrotters
They like it especially when I dress 'em up in vinyl and leather, and take 'em out for a night on the town.
  25. janizarzagon
No.. I haven't found my soul mate yet because until now I'm single.. Huhuhu!!!!
  26. Sam1982
I believe in soul mates - plural.

I'm sure everyone has had that "sliding doors" moment where a slight change of events could result in you ending up with a different person. Is it wrong of me to consider that there is someone in the back of my mind that I wonder "what if?" about even though im happily with someone else?

Not wrong at all...just very aware and intelligent!
