Perez Hilton reports that Lil' Wayne Carter had a money-tastic 26th birthday at the appropriately named Mansion nightclub over the weekend. His birthday bash included over 30 bottles of Cristal, ice sculptures with frozen $100 bills inside, and as a gift from his adopted father, Baby; $1 million cold hard cash in a breifcase.

With the economy sinking before everyone's eyes...is this really neccesary?? When does this kind of display end?

Would it be nice if they spent all of their money making the world a better place? Yes, but it is their money. Let them enjoy.

That's disgusting. Just...ugh. Like those little girls who did that "Sweet 16" TV show...who were then "Exiled"

To answer your question, I think everyone should be socially conscious. Particularly those who have the means to help others. That is not a socially acceptable ideology in the US, it would seem, which makes me rather sad.

I agree, it's "The American Dream" to have everything you ever wanted in gluttonist proportions. I'm sure, however, Lil Wayne has an Obama tee-shirt at home and got on the bandwagon like everyone else. I'm doing my part...overdrawn at the bank and working two jobs. Lol.

I laughed out loud when I saw this article, not in agreement, or with apathy - rather, I just think these two particular rappers and their way of living is completely laughable. What a complete waste of one's life.

Bono should really teach a class.

I agree, they are an utter waste of space. I literally hate all things created by these two and have since high school. I ♥ celebs that do something with their money (like Brad and Angelina) but lets be real...all of them over spend and squander their money on BS.

Very little celebrities do is necessary for them. It is however important that they do it, especially now. Celebrities as a class of people serve one function in society, they are what most normal people aspire to become. A world without opulence is a world without hope.
