I would love to see everyone's art.

Drawings, Paintings, Photography, Graphic Design, etc.

I would also like to know what you think about this man's work.

He is a good friend and I am currently marketing for him.

Is that your art/photography on the screen--to the right or Poppleton's?

    Absolutely magical! Heavenly...what vibrant colors.
    1. Dukepro25
I haven't put any of my stuff up yet.

I feel a little inferior. Lol

They are nothing compared to his work.

I have some photography, but I think I'm going to focus on creating Design works.

I want to do some illustrations (Adobe Illustrator) and stuff like that.
  2. ekim941
I really like the fairy pics. Can't believe I said that on the internet. Some of the strangest, most detail work I have ever seen is done by Ron Mueck.
    en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ron_Mueck
    1. Dukepro25
      lol

      That's ok.

      I won't tell. lol

      He really does amazing work!!!

That is some wild sculpting BTW.
    2. ekim941
Ron can get a little too real, we don't like to see how imperfect we actually are.
    3. Dukepro25
That's cool that he worked on the Labyrinth.

One of my fav movies of all time.
    4. fatalhilarity
Couldn't agree more. Stunning work and brilliantly unpretentious. I'm quite a fan of Antony Gormley - his 'street art' inspired pieces are particually impressive.

      and of course, the usuals:
      Banksy
      Blu
      d*face
      Faile
      m-city
      tlp
  3. DrowseyMonkey
lol @ ekim likeing the fairy pics...that's sweet, ya know, for a guy. I like the fairy pics too, very cool. But that link ekim left ... I dunno, too edgy for me.

I've taken a few art classes, I'm very new at it, but I have some of it on my DrowseyArt page. Just stuff I've done in class or as homework.
    1. Dukepro25
      Oooh!

      I'm curious to see.
    2. Dukepro25
      I like it!

      Very nice.

I esp like the drawing of the lady about half way down.
      (Post - Still Ignoring Him)

      Very nice!

I'm a designer, but really can't draw that well.

      - blackstonegraphicdesign.webs.com

I don't really consider myself an artist.

Here's some of my photos though.

      - rwc-art.blogspot.com

There's some free backgrounds, but mine are the ones with the copyright at the bottom.

The other pics are someone elses.
    3. DrowseyMonkey
Why thank you kind sir I love your blogs, you've got some great stuff there! Did you take the photo of the duckie ... I love duckies! And I like your martian too !!
    4. Dukepro25
      Glad you've enjoyed my blogs!

      Ha, ha! ~blush~

      Yes I did.

      Cute little thing huh?
    5. DrowseyMonkey
Yes! I love photos of water, the rock is great too.
    6. Dukepro25
      Thank you!

For some reason, when people first look at that one they see a dead bird.

I don't see it, but there's been a hand full of people that have said that. lol
    7. DrowseyMonkey
I had to go back and look ... but no I don't see that. You might like some of the photos I have on my photo blog, most of them are taken from my sister and cousin, they're not professionals but do enjoy photography drowseypics.blogspot.com My cousin lives in Australia so he sends a lot of interesting stuff & my sister travels a lot.
    8. ekim941
Duke, your photos are good. Great lighting, composition. Oh man, you combine that with my comment about the fairies and I need to get off this thread and go build something.
    9. DrowseyMonkey
LOL - it's nice that you can show your softer side It's very metrosexual of you.
    10. Dukepro25
      Laugh @ Ekim - lol

      I know what you mean.

Maybe you need to go kill something and eat it raw. lol J/K

Go watch Home Improvement - Arrrooooo!!!
    11. Dukepro25
      Very cool pics Drowsey!

      Ever thought about goin pro?
    12. Shiley
I never would have known you're really good.
    13. Dukepro25
      Who - me, Shirley?
    14. ekim941
Drowsey, have you seen my picture? I am SO not metrosexual.
    15. Dukepro25
Nothin to be ashamed about Ekim. LOL!!! J/K
    16. Shiley
Drowseymonkey I never would have though she was new at it.
    17. DrowseyMonkey
      Thanks Shiley aka Shirley

And ekim ... yes, you're very manly eventho you admited you watched oprah in another thread
  4. ekim941
I don't know if this qualifies as art. But this is the type of stuff I do for fun. I think it would be more compositing than art.
    1. DrowseyMonkey
That made me laugh & then I felt bad about laughing...LOL Artistically, it's quite good.
    2. ekim941
It's supposed to make you laugh.
    3. Dukepro25
      lol

      Yah - that's art.

I would probably consider it more design than anything though.

      Awesome!

      Love it!
    4. ekim941
Oh good, you like it. Okay one more DESIGN for you and then I'm done.
    5. Dukepro25
      Very cool!

Where do you get the pictures?
    6. ekim941
I am paranoid of being sued so I actually bought a clipart CD, Print Perfect Clipart.
    7. Dukepro25
      That works!

You can always peek through the public domain or free stock pictures that are liscensed under royalty free. They're pretty cool about that kind of thing, especially when you do it for fun.
    8. ekim941
Um yeah, sure, I do it for fun. Actually, I have a website and use them as myspace comments. So, I guess I do it for fun and profit.
    9. Dukepro25
      Cool!

Went on your Myspace, but it was set to private.

I guess I'll have to friend request yah - lol
    10. ekim941
Sorry, when it was public half naked women always saw my profile and thought I was hot and all of their half naked, swimsuit model roommates wanted to be my friend. Sucks to be a single guy.
    11. Dukepro25
      LOL

      And that's a bad thing?
  5. LoveCollective
The art is pwetty awesome. pwetty kwel.
    1. DrowseyMonkey
Very cool ... I liked the scrapyard photos ... the last one of the mirror is really good.
    2. Dukepro25
      Very interesting pics.

Do you work digital or film?

      - If film

Do you process your own stuff?

      - If Digital

Do you use Photoshop for the effects?
    3. aningeniousname
I use digital and just use the software that came with the camera, I'm new to photography so I don't really know how to use the camera or photoshop.
    4. Dukepro25
      Excellent program!

Used it for 10 yrs now and I don't know half of everything there is to know about that program.
    5. aningeniousname
Yeah that's what is putting me off it's a bit daunting.
    6. Dukepro25
It can get pretty involved, but you should be able to do some pretty basic stuff on there.

      It's an excellent tool!
  6. Shiley
I don't paint or draw but I have 2 of my moms up on the my thoughts site. I hope to be getting more up at a later time. I have a thing for fantasy creatures. I like.
    1. Dukepro25

      Would love to see them.

      Glad you liked them.
  7. whimsicalpam
The fairy pics are great, very unique. Probably a huge seller through the Renaissance Fair crowd ( and they're a pretty big group).
...and I wouldn't feel inferior, I looked at your blog and your photos are beautiful:)
    1. Dukepro25
      Thank you!

      Much appreciated!

Do you have any art or photography?

I would love to see 'em if you have some.

      I love your oil painting!

      That's way awesome.

I will be trying to update frequently but also allow time for visits. There is something else I am probably going to try as a interactive theme.I will be showing the progression of a piece.Watch for something like part 1 or something of the sort in my updated posts.

      Oh wow!

      That's awesome!

I look forward to that post.

      Keep up the good work!

And a different kind of art, but still my style, kinda cartoony:

    1. Dukepro25
      Wow!

      Love your wallpaper!

      Very nice.

      I would consider that art.
    1. Dukepro25
      Not bad.

Probably better than I could do.

How long have you been on DevientArt?
    2. voodooKobra
For a while; though I rarely post anything.
    3. Dukepro25
I've heard a lot of people say it's changed a lot since when they first started it.
    4. voodooKobra
I wouldn't know, to be honest. Originally, Kobra's Corner (my website) was just a PHP script that displayed an image and a short description. After my server crash, I was pissed off and decided to write about things that piss me off and began putting stuff on DevianTART.

      But I'm lazy as hell.

      ACEO...

      You do eBay?

I know that ACEO cards where an eBay original idea.

      That's why I ask.

I use to sell art on eBay.

I like your style - very unique.
  12. ErinPetersonArt
Thank you. I don't do ebay. I learned the term on etsy and as soon as I found out what they were, I was like, I doodle that size all the time! So thus began my aceo fascination. I still prefer to do larger works though.
    1. Dukepro25
I use to sell these fairy photos (up top - link) in aceo size.

A real hastle to print, but easy to package and ship.

Just put them in an envelope. lol

      - - - - -

I guess they weren't technically ACEOs.

There was another name for photo reprints that size.

      I don't remember though.
  13. PRand
Duke, it's Ron at petmonologues but I see I am logged in as DA. A good idea to see who wants to participate and share in RedBubble, a solid creative site! If it is ok, I would like to broadcast my neighborhood(s) and send them to you or your link. We probably have the same hoods ;-)

New 2 Photoshop? go to lynda.com, has great tutes.
    1. Dukepro25
      Hey!

      Thanks Ron!

      That would be awesome.

Yah, I plan on featuring my work and other work from RedBubble on my art blog.

Haven't gotten to that point yet though.

      I'm excited to start though.

There is some awesome work on there.
  14. Asphodel
some stuff I did a few years back. I picked up a pencil and just sort of dabbled at it, thinking perhaps one day I would dedicate more time to honing whatever minute skill might be hiding somehwere deep within these drawings

    Beh! What was I thinking?

    3. Dukepro25
      Not bad.

      I suck at freehand.
    4. voodooKobra
      Yeah; pretty damn good.
  15. Asphodel
Duh! I still had like 400 seconds left to edit, ok? hehe
  16. Asphodel
In any case, I love your photos they're purrrrty

  18. kevingoodman
I was going to take a picture of my toilet - damn it's just too much work. Who said art was easy?
    1. kevingoodman
That all most equates modern art with salesmanship.
    2. fineartathome
Some say that is all modern art is about, but I disagree.
    3. kevingoodman
I think pushing the boundaries was probably very exiting way back in the twentieth century. I still enjoy the occasion twist, the social statement, the challenging perspective. Anymore I prefer sensual lyrical abstractions that appeal to an emotive contemplative state. One of my favorite contemporaries is Caio Fonseca.
    4. Dukepro25
Hey Kevin - what do you think about the fairies?
    5. kevingoodman
      Hahahaha.
You just couldn’t let me get away could you? No – I think your friend is very talented. But honestly I feel like it’s missing something. It’s too safe. Show some nature – Give me a fantasy I can fantasize about - if you know what I mean.
    6. Dukepro25
      Glad you like 'em!

I'm glad you liked the art, the photos and the dogs. It's hard to pet all four dogs at once.

      Exceptional!

I hope that my design work resembles yours some day.

      So very professional! Love it!

      Awesome design work!

      I bookmarked your site.

      Very nice!
    2. morgantj
Thanks Duke. I get requests all the time for people wanting to purchase my artwork, so I have taken some of it down. Eddie Bauer purchased one of my designs last year. Just recently a physics teacher requested some of my art pieces to put them in her classroom, and I have another company that will be purchasing my "blazin aces" design. People seem to like my design style.

Hiay, I am a Multi Media artist and like the freedom to work between genres, disciplines, mediums, between fine art and craft, high art and low art. This allows form to be dictated by the content and not restricted by discipline. My first great love is oil paint, so usually that gets incorporated into whatever I am doing.

    hi ya.
i do oil painting, and drawing. I will upload some of them if you would like,so you can see them.
I also do photography, again as an hobby. If you could look at my blog
at www.steve-hawk.blogspot.com and scroll down until you get to the pics. There's one that i think is the best picture i'vd took.
If you scroll down through the pics, you will come to it. Just above
the photograph, i say it's my best one, so it will be easy to find, its on the first page. Its a picture of a fish swirling in the lake, with the sun just breaking through, onto the water.

Could you tell me what you think of it,as you sound like you know what your on about. Thanks for your advice in advance.
    All the best steve.
