Soda Drinkers:

Do you drink soda out of an aluminum can, plastic bottles and or glass bottles?

Beer Drinkers:

Do you drink beer out of an aluminum can and or glass bottles?

The cost of soda has been really high and I asked the grocery store why and when will the price go down. They have no clue why and when. Will I did some of my own research and aluminum price has risen. So it's not the actual soda, but the metal is the reason of the high prices.

Do you recycle?

Starting my new business of recycling in Southern Nevada in March 2009. With all of the ecomonic crisis going on, I feel that it's a business that's looking alright. I have a pretty unique business plan and one of them is that I offer rewards to every donor of 120 aluminum cans as my appreciation. In doing the gesture, I can get potential customers from the rewards. I cannot disclose the rewards at this time, but it sure benefits the receiver and myself. I found 18 recycle centers in Las Vegas, Nevada.

I came up with doing this type of business because it's been hard to find work that I want to do. 23 years of self-employment (in another field) makes it hard to just work for anyone. I'm not being picky in what I do. I work in what I enjoy doing. I think it will be fun too. It's more organized. No dumpster diving lol! Wish me luck!

Thank you so much for the kind words.

I drink soda from a can or bottle and wine coolers from bottles. I recycle as much as possible. I think there should be a federal law requiring everyone to recycle. Glad to here you're taking the initiative - good luck:)

I usually drink my "pop" from a can, and my beer from a glass bottle. I do recycle them; after all, I get 10 cents back for each one I recycle (I live in MI)! I would probably recycle even if the 10 cents wasn't offered; I try and recycle as often as I can - I hate the thought of my garbage rotting somewhere!

I don't drink either pop or beer but I do recycle. Aside from our excellent and comprehensive community recycling program we have a non-profit additional recycling depot. I compost all food waste. I save all redeemable bottles, cans, etc. and they are picked up by the youth group, who turn them in and use the funds for their programs.

This person I know composted her food waste in a compost recepticle and it caught on fire inside. Isn't that scary? She quit composting.

People in the countryside where I live have been composting for generations. I've never heard of a case of compost combusting and causing a fire. It sounds like she didn't know how or what to compost. www.howtocompost.org/

I buy the 2 liter bottles of soda. It's cheaper and most of the time, a can is too much for my daughter and some gets wasted, poured down the drain. we recycle plastic, glass, aluminum, all food cans, paper, and cardboard where I live.

And that's the beauty of a 2 liter - you don't have to drink it all in one sitting - and it won't go flat right away!

    I like your business ideas!

I drink soda out of a can and can never figure out what to call it...I mean many of my friends call it soda, some call it pop, some call it a soft drink. Just made me think I guess, lol.

When I was little we called it soda, pop or soda pop. Restaurants were the only places that used "soft drinks." Nowadays, where I lived, "pop" has a sexual connotaction, so soda is used more often.

I've figured out this all depends on where you are from, but it seems this is slowly changing. My friends and I who have lived in Michigan all of our lives call it pop. However, some of my friends who have not lived here all their lives call it soda.

Then again, I come from a quirky little town, lol. So quirky, I've dedicated a blog to it (traversetimes.blogspot.com)

My husband likes his soda from a can, and I like beer in a glass bottle. But we recycle everything - as in we need to change the curbside garbage can into our recycle bin, and our recycle bin into our garbage can because we recycle more than we throw away!

Beer from bottles, except for one local beer that is sold in cans. We recycle both glass and aluminum (along with other materials).

Good luck in your recycling business. I hope that you have many people coming your way. I drink soda from a can and I recycle them curb side in our neighborhood. I assume that they are being recycled, but one never knows.

I am a soda drinker (we call it "pop" here). I have a half a dozen plastic cups that I use and reuse at the local gas station fountain service.

I recycle my wife's glass beer bottles and the occasional two-liter plastic bottles. I don't drink canned soda much; it was too expensive even a few years ago and you can't close it once you open it.

    Beer from bottoms
    Soda from cans
    I tend to recycle

Soda is so expensive because we are willing to pay that much. We are even willing to pay significantly more in a theater or out to eat.
