When I was in Australia last year I was told the water would spin the opposite direction down the drain. I am from the USA. I didn't see this happen. Now as a friend is heading that way soon, I have asked him to check it out for me. I put a poll up on my blog. Please stop by, vote, and I will see who knows what about this spinning water issue.

Any comment here? Let me know if you have had the experience of seeing the water spin the other direction.

The Coriolis Effect. It's definitely real.

Lived in Down Under for a year and as you know I was so fascinated with the marsupials and flora did not notice the spinning of the water.

Make sure you keep the dingos away from the kids. I want to play with a koala bear, catch me one

@ riverstyxxx - The koala are rather anti-social - effect of the eucalyptus leaves, their main food when they are awake.

Have you ever rode in a kangaroo's pouch?
  6. agapelife
Never seen a kangaroo with an empty pouch? Baby K stays in mother's pouch till they are almost half her size. LOL Koalas are the most doped animal in the world.

Not more than a Sloth. Now those are some lazy animals, they move maybe 5 inches a year. That's less then most fat chicks who sit at home watching maury povich all day!

Sorry Linda, we have really gone off topic, have we not?

    Nope.

Riding in Kangaroo pouches + Carnivorous Dingos = Coriolis Effect.

    Makes sense

You are just fine! Happy to have comments. Sorry I wasn't here to join in. And I am happy to hear that it is a true fact....water spinning backwards! Thanks for the input.
