We all have been watching the news. We all have been witness to the never ending tragedy occurring from every natural disaster to social decline. "I LOVE LUCY" first aired in the 1950's and was the "must watch" show of it's time. Now it is "Sex in the City" and "American Idol".

Let's not even touch how far video games have come since the 70's.

Are you even the least bit concerned about 'how far is far enough?'

what the bleeping hell is your point? that tv and video games have ruined us?

i seem to remember evidence of natural and man-made disasters that go back before the 50s. before the 1940s even.

ender...obviously it is beyond you as well

no, i just prefer that you use logic and facts to support a coherent argument rather than a few sound bytes strung together in a way that make sense only to you.

you're implying things, but leaving it all wide open. get specific.

take a class in argumentation and using language clearly.

      *sigh*

look, if you want to start a DISCUSSION here, then you really ought to do more than post bullcrap sound bytes and whining. you also ought to do more than just post a link to your blog.

ain't clicking through as you've shown no evidence of understanding basic argumentation or discussion skills.

when I see kids killing kids and kids killing parents and parents killing kids...I feel more than educated on what to expect next

      two words, one example:

      cain
      abel

I see your point froggy. Seriously, I think it will reset so to speak. Once society gets to the point of being too liberal, a new generation of kids will rise up as extreme conservatives.

Teenagers like to be rebellious. When the parents get to be overtly offensive, we should see their kids rebel by being considerate, prudish and chaste.

the animal kingdom has more respect for their own...nuf said...I'm out

I hope I didn't offend you, that wasn't my intent.
I see a movement of teenagers saying no to drugs and practicing abstinence already. Things are beginning to turn around.

And this is why I tend to not be serious.

the animal kingdom has more respect for their own? many, many species eat their young, abandon their young, fight wars against other species or against rival segments of their own species.
    4. ekim941
OH CRAP!!! I wasn't supposed to eat my young?

Yes, too much time playing video games/watching TV makes Jack a dull boy (or Jill for that matter). :-)

I say ditch the stuff and enjoy creation.

I just read about a 6.7 earthquake off the coast of Guam. Perhaps the fast-paced whirl of the earth is hell-bent on throwing most her inhabitants off into outer space. The state of the world is that it is over populated and abused. But when you travel, there is so much open space. On the other hand, it is not over populated at all. When the restrictive hand of governments will not allow peace to reign and UN workers to get food to their needy peoples, for example. When countries invade others for greed and arrogance. When countries commit genocide with glee, then Mother Earth should get rid of the evil doers. But how can she? She is our Mother.
    Happy Mother Earth Day.
