SwaTTing - Phone Pranks Gone Mad

Prank calls used to be as benign as calling a store and asking "Do you carry Prince Albert (pipe tobacco) in a can?''
When the clerk said "yes," the caller responded, "Well, let him out!"
Hardy har, har.
One of my favs was we'd pick a phone number at random, and start early in the morning and ask if Joey was home, they say there is no joey here.
Then repeat it several times a day with different voices or other friends calling and ask for Joey. Then at the end of the day you call up and say "Hello, this Joey, any messages?"
Now with this SwaTTing phase people lives and put in danger from miles away at random.

Another good one was calling a second-hand shop and saying you needed one for your watch, har har.
I read about the swatting calls on Yahoo news page, and was totally grossed out. Some people are sick beyond belief.
