This is my first attempt to make something from ebay. I started this from a scratch without any previous knowledge. I read some blogs, but yet still not understand the process. Hopefully, there is somebody who is willing to give suggestion and or any comment so that I can progress in this line. Help me and thank you in advanced.

I dont know, I have not had success with ebay. Their fees are horrible, your listings get buried so fast....I use Etsy.com to sell. But thats only for handmade stuff.

    Good luck

Never tried to be an ebay seller but heard many sellers escaped ebay to go elsewhere and that there are now a lot of newbies who don't know how to sell so that knowledgeable buyers profit from them by buying on Ebay and reselling on Amazon

Easy to sell stuff on ebay, hard to make money on an ongoing basis.

Just get a paypal account, signup as a seller on ebay and follow instructions for listing items.

I have a piece of bracelet for a start. Let see how the result will be...

not that easy though....easy if you want to sell one or two things here and there. I have sold my motorcycles like that. But when it comes to other stuff - like making it a business, I think that its a lot harder over on ebay. You got to have a seller store account with them and pay monthly fees so you would be viewed better and so you would save a bit money on listing fees

At this moment, I haven't decided to go for seller store. I know, how expensive they charge me. Ehmmm, just doing something an easy start first.

good luck. If you are making hand made stuff, go to Etsy, you get a lot more views on your things and there is less fees.

I will go there, its worth to try anyway. Thank you so much MeaCulpa.

You have to make the price low, which is hard to make a good profit off it. The fees are getting to high to sustain on an on going basis. But Now the stores inventory are in the main search engine which helps abit, but you are competing with products 10 times lesser than you.
    1. cakapsaja
any idea how to compete with this super-lesser price product? have you ever accomplished any sell before? sorry if i am asking too much question but i love to hear your story.

how much do they charge per sale or for a sellars account?
    1. cakapsaja
ehmm...for one listing item they charge about usd0.55, its not including the paypal activation fee which is compulsory for verified paypal account. but, for ebay account registration, its free.

I created a Group for Ebay Members, Buyers & Sellers to hang out.
Lot's of Topics to Discuss and you can ask your questions there too.
One of the Members there may attempt to answer your questions in that Group
Anyone interested is welcome to come join the Group.

It really depend on what you are selling. But I am against jewelries and clothing because its too saturated and the price is too competitive.

However, you can try vintage items, collectibles. I believe they are and will still be doing well.

If your items are staple items (easy to find elsewhere) then I suggest you set up an ebay store. The monthly fee is lower and you can fix your own price and market your ebay store outside ebay.

I suggest you subcribe to Terapeak's price search. just subcribe for 1 month and you can check the selling price of the items you want to sell.

thank you for the suggestion, i was thinking of doing the price research and terapeak could be my problem solving. thanks a lot.

Before you do anything, make sure yours is a country PayPal will SEND money to. Paypal will allow me to buy stuff, but it will not send money to South Africa. It won't even allow people to pay into my PayPal account.

Make sure your country can receive money or you will do all this effort for nothing.

Lucky for me, our country do accept any transaction form or for paypal service. A lot f people have success in ebay business but for me i'm still looking any spaces for me to get something from them.

Making money off ebay is hard and honestly I don't understand how some people do it! When I want a PC game now instead of running out to the store I will buy off ebay. Why? I can some how magicly get a game that cost $50 in the store for $20 on ebay. This stuff fall off the truck or what lol. Never could understand it or how they make a profit exp with shipping fee's.
But I think if you want to make money off ebay you need a site first to bring buyers into what you have to offer and what you are sell. It takes a lot of time and money to set yourself up good on ebay as a store and a trusted seller.

maybe you can use some dropshippers service. Selling an item will bring you to nowhere (unless you are selling cars/ property etc). For small cheap items, maybe you list for 50 but only get 20 items sold. that is okay. and then with the dropshippers service, you can increase your items 20sold/50listed to 100sold/250listed or maybe 2000sold/5000listed items...
