The Beast of Hyde Park

I finally worked out the log in details for a blog I had at Blogger so I can start updating some paranormal articles.
I just added an entry for which I only have sketchy details, so I was wondering if anyone here had heard of the story, or could ask around, particularly if you're from Britain.
The story is about a werewolf like creature which attacked a couple who had been walking through Hyde Park London in the 70s.

It wasn't me, I wasn't born yet -
I was a spring chicken in the 70s. I'm really surprised this hasn't become one of those urban legend popular things. I've searched all over the net and can't find anything on it. I wonder whether contacting bbc2 and asking about it would help.
