Hi all!

I'd like to hear your opinion on existing media hosting services. I tend to use imageshack.us for the photos on my blog, but would like to give a try to some other service with more customizing options (img size and borders, cropping the image etc.) What do u prefer to use ?

I used to be on Photobucket and I think it #### big time! It's little wonder I shaft it down the toilet bowl. Now I'm on my own webhosting and no longer have any issues.

I expected more answers really. I used flickr for the few lastest posts, but I hope to see something more sophisticated then flickr or imageshack. U ppl never put the pictures on your blogs except from your own servers ?

If you use Flickr there is lots of "addons" on this site: bighugelabs.com/flickr/

I have more control over the pictures when they are on my server, in both the sizing, placement and don't have to worry if their site is down that can affect me.

Although, I am a big fan of the concept of sharing pictures and probably am a "user" more than a "giver" because I like to BlogThis papillon dog pictures to my PapillonLvr.com/blog/ site directly from Flickr.com. I have some pictures up there, but not many.

In my first posts I used pictures hosted on Flickr and they are actually the only pictures I get hits from in google image search.

Seems like google doesn't like my self-hosted shots even though I have optimized for image search.

Thinking about going back to Flickr.

Interesting, i put a nice behind wearing a thong on flickr and the pic isn't not visible on the blog. of course all other images are showing up just fine. i'm giving up flickr too

    I use NextGallery in Wordpress.

    Flickr seems to work fine.

If I don't size them before I put them up, I just change the sizing code after the fact. I like not having to use the space on company's server for blog pictures. And I like some of the features that we'll be incorporating for other purposes later.
