The British PSA had placed an service announcement regarding the dangers of texting & driving. The video was first banned on Youtube, due to its graphic nature, so I warn you, please be prepared to watch this.

But, my question is, even though this is strong message to save our children as well as adults, do you think it's a bit too much?

Would love to hear your thoughts. If you're not ok with graphic and gory scenes, please do not watch.

I have mixed feelings on this video, but the message should get out there...

I watched this video for the first time yesterday.. and it was heartwrenching. I did however find it to be a bit too long. And, as over the top as it was, I guess it accomplishes what it set out to do.. which was really, really make you think about the possible outcome of your actions.

this was too mild imo. cracked skulls and bashed in faces would have done a better job. people who drive drunk/texting/high/etc... don't respect their own lives and those of others. kill yourself just not others should be the message.

Kill yourself but not others? The message should be not to do it.

Maybe they should have thrown in some decapitations of children while they were at it

Well, having been a first responder to a few accidents, I don't really like when people joke about it. It's a horrible scene.

oh cry me a river, these people make the counscious decision to drink then go for a drive and text while driving. the only victims are the ones they hit.

We need more strong messages like that. It will probably work better than "Hey kids don't text and drive!"

I'm such a sap, the video made me cry, because that could be one of our kids or siblings, etc. It was way too over the top, but I guess FatX is right, maybe kids need a stronger message so it'll sink in... but wow...that was such a sad thing to watch.

I think it's like the "Red Asphalt" films they make you watch in driver training class when you're a kid. The stronger the images, the more likely they'll have an impact on you and that you'll actually remember them when you're tempted to be an idiot behind the wheel.
