Looks good! I've just started having a read. It probably translates pretty well to blogs in general (I don't have a MySpace account.)

I'm going to brew up some black juice from hell in the morning and sit down for a nice long look at this series you've posted.

    Cheers.

I have a few ideas.... how to promote an existing blog on myspace, my half hour a day marketing plan using social networking, maybe a case study using someone's current website... Not sure yet.

      Any ideas?

If you can get Morgan Freeman or an acclaimed British actor to read it and record it be my guest.

    John Cleese would be good

You touch briefly in the second article on MySpace layouts. Do you typically recommend that people starting out have a go at modding their own template or use a premade freebie? If the latter, are there any sources of premade layouts that aren't quite so heavy or so Goth as most of what one sees?

When I was building my audience on there I kept my page the standard layout, no music, no assault on the senses. I didn't even change my background color.

Now I am doing some different things with overlays and different designs that are a little bit flashier. I don't have enough hard data on what people like more, like a success rate in adding people one way versus the other.

I think an overview of the different options and services might be a good topic to cover.
