Over the last few decades Americans have lost many jobs and businesses because of their purchases from Wal-Mart not to mention propelling China into becoming an economic superpower...

Why would any American buy anything from Wal-mart given their unethical business practices and their exploitation of child labor and the pollution in China etc. their unethical business practices cause ?

It seems that you want to get down on Wal-Mart for their exploitation of child labor and pollution in China.

But you don't seem to mind exploiting the tragedy that took place on Long Island just to get people to read about your dislike for Wal-Mart. I didn't read a single reference about what took place on Long Island in your post.

I wonder what it feels like to use any means necessary to make your point without regard to a tragedy that took life away from a innocent person.

First and foremost my heart goes out to the family of the young man trampled to death by the moronic American consumers...I can only pray that the pregnant lady trampled by these morons is able to have a successful outcome to her pregnancy...

      Your above comment is ridiculous...

Pointing out that the moronic American Wal-mart shoppers who trampled this innocent man to death are stampeding to support a company that has severely damaged manufacturing and small businesses in the U.S.A as well as causing a tremendous amount of pollution on this planet is hardly exploitation...

There are a lot of problems with WalMart in terms of treatment of employees and impact on local economies and such, but I'm curious as to what that has to do with the killing this morning?

@MadameX What I was trying to point out was the headline of this post was used to suck people into reading what gerryplanetearth thinks about wal-mart.

He has the right to think whatever he wants about Wal-Mart. I just think it is pretty sad that he thinks using the hook of a tragedy to get people to read his thoughts about Wal-Mart is pretty low.

PC, I was actually asking Gerry what he felt the connection was that made his headline applicable to his post. Seems that you and I are on the same page. Still not sure what page the OP is on...

That makes 3 of us who are on the same page.

I am not sure "curious" is the right word to describe your lack of understanding to the relevance of American consumers trampling an innocent man to death to support a corporation that has caused so much harm to the U.S.A. and Planet Earth...

There is another discussion thread on this incident from earlier today

It seems the truth of your argument is now coming to light. You seem to hate that American are consumers, you hate Wal-Mart, you disdain people who point out the inconsistancy of your arguments, but you still think it is alright to use this tragedy to trick people into reading your comments.

I wonder how much harm people do when they use other people's misery to further their own cause.

Americans per capita consume most of the planet's resources in a very wasteful manner and squander much of the planet's finite resources on war and space programs that provide very few benefits in relation to their cost...

Pointing out the stupidity of Americans trampling people to death to buy garbage from China at Wal-mart is hardly a hate crime...

      I like potatos...
