i'm always looking to discover new music and a great way is through communities like this!

*please don't post fifty million songs at once. just post one song that you've been listening to a lot lately and give everyone else a turn before you post again.

I recently lost my collection of bad German punk music to a hard drive failure. Since I'm rebuilding it, that's what I listened to the last days.

Currently listening to "Flogging Molly - Worst day since yesterday", though. *g*.

Grace Potter & the Nocturnals. Hey guess what you can listen too.. here's there new single for free. They are giving out to promote their new album. Sounds like a little Joan Jet mixed with Bonnie Raite trust me they are gonna be huge. They were on Lenno last night and their live performance was enough to make me go buy their previous album which I am listening to. Oh and shes really HOT and by hot I mean sultry. (bonus)

At this moment, I'm listening to an air conditioner.

The melodic aspect of its work is practically non-existent, but the existential continuity of sound flowing even as the air flows speaks to me of oneness with the world, of the unity of all living beings, and of the importance of flossing my teeth.

I have definitely read too much socially relevant art criticism.

You might really like to try a pandora.com free online radio account. You tell them what you like and it finds similar bands and solo acts that you may not know. I've been listening to it a lot lately. I told it I liked PJ Harvey and got turned on to several good other artists that I didn't know. The more you tell it what you like and dislike, the better it gets at picking new music for you. Really neat.
    1. legbamel
Yes, but you can only listen to it in the US (unless there's news that they've come to terms with folks about broadcasting in other countries). That's too bad. They really do have a treasure trove of music there.
    2. Hoeno
I didn't realize that. I took for granted that anyone online could listen. Maybe theres a good equivalent without that limitation. Anybody?
