    Eagles. Remember, they have Vick.
    1. gerryPlanetEarth
Good choice...Even without Vick the Eagles would be in the running...
    2. DailyBeerReview
Yes, that was a bit of sarcasm.

Hmm... Steelers have a chance... Vikings also have a chance, so do the eagles, patriots, titans, ravens... Then the chargers... the falcons have a shot at making it...

    The Lions

I pick my Lions to win it all!

1st day of football + painkillers = lets go Lions!!!

hey, it could happen. probably won't but today it still could.
    1. Agit8r
      the Lions?

      better make that horse tranquilizers
    1. dbowles1017
No. They won't even make the playoffs
    2. cookingasshole
      wild card baby!
    3. dbowles1017
Maybe. But they would still be playing a better team.
    4. cookingasshole
all we need is one fluke game to make it all the way!
    5. dbowles1017
Good point. If for some reason they do win the wildcard, they won't go any further
    6. dbowles1017
If for some strange reason (the other team gets a flat tire or something) and the redskins win the wildcard, they will lose the next game
    7. cookingasshole
      oh gotcha...yeah you are right
    8. dbowles1017
It's ok. You can just bandwagon whichever team is winning at the time.
  5. bringbackpluto
Patriots all the way. Brady will be back to win the MVP!

Nobody has mentioned the Miami Dolphins, Baltimore Ravens or Seattle Seahawks who all were undefeated in the pre-season with 4 wins zero losses...
    1. dbowles1017
Pre-season = nothing. ravens are good, seahawks *laugh*, dolphins have to deal with a tough schedule, and they won't surprise anyone with the Wildcat this season
    2. gerryPlanetEarth
      "Pre-season = nothing."

Although sometimes you can gauge the depth of teams by watching pre-season games I strongly agree with you...

There was only one undefeated team in last year's 2008 pre-season...The Detroit Lions...4 wins zero losses...
    3. dbowles1017
And see how that turned out for them?
  7. houstonlibrarian
    Lets go Steelers
  8. RecycleCindy
Steelers pulled it out tonight but it's really wide open for the season this year.

I don't follow pro football much, due to my disenchantment with the corporate/elitist highjacking of stadiums and such. Though I do like the Packers, who are owned collectively be the people of Green Bay.
    1. dbowles1017
      Do you follow college football?
    2. Agit8r
yes. i'm a bit geeky about the college game.
    3. dbowles1017
Then you must hate bowl season
    4. Agit8r
      how so?

      I love bowl season.

I meant that I get geeked out about the sport. Not so much that i like "geeky" teams.

Well, we know who is going to stink:

    Bengals
    Rams
    Chiefs
    Lions
    Raiders
    Broncos

I'm tempted to say others wo don't have a chance are:

    Seahawks
    Jets
    Texans
    Bears
    Bills
    Saints
    Titans
    Browns

But one or more of those could pull a prayer out of their butts
    1. gerryPlanetEarth
The Titans looked good against the Steelers last night but didn't get enough pressure on Rothlessburger...
    2. Agit8r
they have a good solid coach, but they seem to lack star-power... or at least the last few years. i don't keep up that well, I'm afraid.
