I just want to have a peaceful thread in memory for all of those who passed on 9-11 and in the after math due to the effects of that day.

Not looking for blaming, or arguments, or theories, or political beliefs. Just a simple memorial for those who were lost.

My step son George Andrew Llanes had worked for Carr Futures.

Carr Futures was located on 92nd floor of WTC 1 ( North Tower )just below the impact area. On the morning of September 11th, the office of Carr Futures on the 92nd floor was unusually busy.

A total of 68 men and women were on the floor. Carr was two floors below the impact and everyone there had survived it; yet they could not get out.

They perished when the building collapsed 102 minutes later.

We get to see George at a grave site in Staten Island, since a piece had been recovered and matched with DNA.
His headstone reads.
George Andrew Llanes - World Trade Center.

Thank you for taking the time, I know this isn't a silly thread, or one to start a argument and that is hard for most to engage.
    So thank you.

I lost two people in the 911 tragedy. A very good friend that I knew for almost 20 years and my former brother-in-law; both worked in the twin towers.

My husband and I were originally scheduled to be on flight 93 but a couple of weeks before, our travel plans changed so we changed our flight to a week later (which we ended up not doing because of what happened).

I didn't realize we were supposed to be on that particular flight until a few days later when I saw our original itinerary. It was a moment of extreme gratitude.

My thoughts go out to all who died that terrible day and to anyone who lost someone.

I was truely affected by that event, and had no personal ties to any of the victems. I can't imagine what it must be like to have lost someone close to you in 9/11. What a horrible waist of precious life. My thoughts are with you and the few others I know who were personally touched by 9/11.

I did not know anyone personally, concerning the tragedy of 9/11. But, I certainly wept for everyone who died that day and for those who would never see thier loved one's again...

There is nothing worse than innocent people dying for someone else's cause...

    Don't weep at my grave,
    For I am not there,
    I've a date with a butterfly
    To dance in the air.
I'll be singing in the sunshine,
    Wild and free,
    Playing tag with the wind,
    While I'm waiting for thee.

My head still reels over the loss to our people, our country and our peace! I find it amazing how much things have changed since then and sometimes I not only mourn for the people touched by this tragedy but also for the freedoms that have been lost due to this horrible event.

    @ Arcticulates
The domino factor since that day has been most horrendous.
Thanks and have a good day.
