Is that really chicken you're eating in your taco then?

Sorry to hear that. Chihuahuas are awesome dogs.

My family members are into dog breeding. Most prefer large breeds. Although I love all dogs, I don't wish to have large breed dogs any more.

Chihuahuas are wonderful dogs. My constant companion for 14 years who was a rescued dog, who was probably 2 - 3 years old when I got her, died at the end of May. I miss her desperately. My second little one just turned 15 and she's near the end of her days as well.

Did you know that toy breed dogs live longer? Chihuahuas can live to be 20 but the average lifespan range for a healthy Chihuahua is approximately 10 to 17 years of age.

I have a pom. He is 5 and I hope he lives for 10 more years. That would make me so happy. He is the best dog.

Mine is a double hair and was given to me by My hubby's aunt. She was breeding them for a while and she had him fixed for me ( My request as I wasnt breeding him for anything or any one)and he was already house broken. I have had him for about 6 months.

I had a pom... for a little while.

    The dog LOVED me...

Unfortunately one of my ex boyfriends took it at the end of our relationship of living together.

Part of me was glad he did - the Pom had the weirdest habit of finding my dirty underwear and bras and tearing out/ripping out areas that had personal smells on them. (Literally got into the clothes hamper and pulled the items under the bed and ate them)

I talked to a vet who said this was a nurture instinct...

I'm like - wish I'd known that I'd have to buy stock in under clothing.

    But I love ALL critters.

LOL this is soooo funny ww. naughty dawg! I wish they could say the same 'norture instinct' in humans. sigh.

Mine throws a fit when I leave the house. He has tried to follow my car down the road if they let him outside. He cries if I am gone to long. He usually goes every where I go. The only bad habit mine has is peeing on walmart bags. It has to be a walmart bag and he cant stand it. They can still have groceries in them so we have to put all bags on the counter.

My Yorkie pup (7 months) steals and chews up my husband's socks and undershorts. She will steal my bras, but only if they are the ones with lace on them...she has no interest in the plain cotton ones. go figure!

The upside of this, however, is that after nearly 8 years together, my husband is finally learning to take the two steps to the laundry hamper with his dirty clothes instead of dropping them on the floor next to the bed...seems he is running out of socks and shorts...

I was informed of this last night. I am devastated.

I'm sorry to hear the dog died but he had a good and happy dog life--he was even a celebrity!

I love dogs so much and have always had one until I became bicoastal--when Les and I settle down a little more, I want to get another dog. Dogs are the best animals of all, if you ask me--although I do love cats also. I really love all animals (except bats--yuck).
    1. DeadRooster
I love bats. I used to sit on my front porch every night, sip a beer, and watch the bats eat the fireflies.

Ever see a bat with glow-juice on its face?
    2. melindaville
I have a terrible phobia against bats due to an unfortunate childhood incident. I even wrote TWO post about it. blog.melindaville.com/2009/04/16/going-batty.aspx

      and blog.melindaville.com/2009/04/24/goingbattyiimp3.aspx

And to answer your question (lmao), no, I never saw a bat with glow juice on its face. I'm too busy screaming to notice much though!
