The Wheel of Paradigms

It seems to me that there are four basic philosophical paradigms that guide people's lives through their view of the world:
Individualism - The Individual is the source of all meaning and the purpose of life.
Collectivism - The Group is the source of all meaning and the purpose of life.
Idealism - The higher meaning or purpose is the source of all meaning and the purpose of life.
Nihilism - There is no higher meaning.
Can you see any vulnerabillities to this system? And where do you believe you fit? Do you relate to multiple? Many people do. I personally find myself with Individualism 1st and Idealism a close 2nd.

I find I vacillate between the four. It's easy to feel idealistic when the purpose is strong and full, but nihilism can easily spring from the pessimism of tragedy.
Another difference would probably be introverted/extroverted focus points. Does the person focus more on their internal or external world? An introvert is probably more individualistic, and maybe an extrovert focuses on the good of the group around him or her.-
Interestingly, while there may be some correlation, where you grow up and what culture you're from actually has a bigger impact. Keep in mind also that you can have a cowboy-type extravert who sees everyone around him as individuals and is just really outgoing, towards individuals. Likewise, you can have the quite Asian kid intravert who is very focused on his family and his group and is generally very laconic outside of it.
