It's Aishwarya Rai, Queen of Bollywood

Who is the most beautiful woman in the world? Half a century ago, Hollywood would have presented her to us. Grace Kelly, Ingrid Bergman or perhaps Elizabeth Taylor.

But today? Correspondent Bob Simon reports the woman who currently holds the title, at least according to thousands of Web sites, Internet polls and even Julia Roberts, is someone you've probably never heard of.

Her name is Aishwarya Rai, and she is an actress living and working in Bombay, India. The reigning queen of Indian cinema, and also a classically trained dancer, Rai has starred in 24 films over the last seven years.

I'd have to say that Angelina Jolie is the most beautiful to me. As far as I know, she's all natural and has the whole package, face, body, hair. Lucky woman.

  Turns out Angelina Jolie may not be natural after all. I've read speculation that she's had a nose job, cheek implants, breast implants, an eyebrow lift, and even some work done on her lips to make them more even in size (reduction of lower lip, enhancement of upper lip). If those rumors are true, that would make her one heck of a plastic person! Here's some photographic evidence:

  But yes, all of the above are beautiful in one way or another. I am not referring strictly to superficial beauty, because every person has something beautiful about them. My opinion is in accordance with the idea that beauty is more than just skin deep.

  Thanks for sharing. Fat and toothless? Why, I don't ever notice these things in my grandmother. All I see is that she is the most gregarious, loving and self-educated creative woman. I take after her in many ways.

  Yeah, I have a serious girl-crush on her. I admire her actually. She's an awesome Muy Thai champion as well as "Crush" on American Gladiators. I try to DVR all her televised fights and pretty much read up on her any chance I get.
  
  LOL... she even has me considering taking up kick boxing or even Muy Thai myself. Not on a pro-level though.

"Beautiful" is in the eye of the beholder. I know men who think confident women are the sexiest women on the planet, while others like shy and passive women. Some like tall, some like short, some like slender, some like willowy. The truth is, if we all liked the same thing, we'd all be fighting over one woman (or man). Yes, Aishwarya Rai is gorgeous, but I can think of twenty women, in this moment, that I would trade her for, because they suit more my taste and desires. And even then, I can think of women I have been in love with who do not fit my definition of "stunning", but their attitude, or brilliance, or just something undefinable about them, captured me.

Personality and attitude, to me, make up for most of my assessment of someone's beauty. Someone who is a snob or a bad attitude no matter how perfect their bone structure is ugly! The so called "Beauty" with a 36-26-36 barbie doll figure turns into a monster once she opens her mouth and shows her bad attitude.
