How bad is your singing? because my ear drums are bleeding.
For the love of God, please don't sing, especially if you know you suck.

Arnous81...YES I can understand singing in the privacy of your own home
but these people take it to the next level. Utter Hell -
@Arnous81--Yeah me too or too drunk to know the difference...lol. I got the worse voice ever and the sad thing is...I love to sing...lol...BUT I will just stick to my dancing, that is something I'm very good at and leave the singing voice in the shower. It's got it's own special shelf.

My singing is neither best nor worst. And it's not what most might expect from looking at me. But it's joyful nevertheless.-
LynneaUrania...Yup according to you but how many of us actually believe we are great singers when the fact is we are terrible singers?
I can like my own cooking too but that sure doesn't speak for everyone.
Same with my singing which I only sing drunk under the Christmas tree once a year. -
At the same time, how many of us are better singers than we think we are? I used to sing in choirs, even led solo. But over time my voice went through changes so that I wouldn't try that kind of exhibition. But in an informal setting under the right and calm conditions, it could still work.
Chances are, your voice still has a niche tht you don't realize. -
LynneaUrania...very true, in fact I took some private singing classes just to improve my voice range and breathing but I will never take the chance of singing in public.
My teacher knew 1st hand that I do not want to be a STAR, I just want to improve on the way my voice carries. It was mainly for personal improvement. -
Count your blessings. I started out soprano, then got lumped into tenor with the onset of male puberty, then baratone when trying to prove I could be a male, then alto at the onset of female puberty. That does mess you up, ya know?

My mother thought I was going to be the next Shirley Temple and I spent years taking professional voice lessons.
I hated the auditions and performances and eventually pretended I had lost my voice to get out of it. I was in high school before I was willing to sing in public again.
I seldom sing in public now but occasionally my husband manages to get me into a karaoke bar where I usually do pretty well.
But I am with you on people who can't sing and do anyway...the sour notes just hurt my ears and set my teeth on edge. I try to smile through the pain and tears and applaud their courage if not their voices.-
SweetViolet...yes it is part bravery to put yourself though all that but what about us?
Some people lack mercy and show us none by continuing to punish us with their high and low sour notes.
Karaoke is actually fun & I am getting one for the house, it will make a good house party.
I just hope my next door neighbor doesn't call the police on us when we start to go overboard.
