In the interest of creating a link drop thread that might actually be somewhat interesting how about this.

Tell me three things about your blog that I can't find out by going to your blog's listing here at BC. Then add a link to a post that really captures the flavor of your blog.

How about three complete thoughts? And I think I could have figured out the cheeseburger part.
    2. MrCheeseburger
Ah. You're one of those culturally artistic freaking serious-until-your-eyes-pop-out kind of bloggers. I'll tell you now that my blog is not one of those. I can't even write down a complete thought about my blog.
    3. DaneMorgan
I've never been called artistic before. Thanks.
    4. MrCheeseburger
      Haha, you're welcome.
  1. claudiorodval
    1. Most of my illustrations are done in watercolor
    2. My target audience are children (not for my blog but for my illustrations)
    3. Most of my blog“s visitors come from "Illustration Friday"

any illustration that you see there will let you know what my style is.

    1. DaneMorgan
      Coolness! Thanks.

Have you ever thought of doing a blog of illustrations and specifically targeting children with it? Maybe through the homeschool market, or parents looking for additional cultural/educational opportunities for their children?

BTW, all I can say about the art on this blog is "magical". It's a complete mystery to me, how some people can turn a blank canvas into things like this.
    2. claudiorodval
Thanks a lot for the compliments!
I never thought about having my portfolio children friendly... it is a great idea, I might start working on that soon.
  2. Jeunelle
#1. I blog only for myself and care nothing about what other people have to say about my blog. My blog is a work in progress for my sanity only.

#2. Topics range from affiliate marketing, social networking, web2.0, yoga
and whatever else interest me at the moment.

#3. My target audience is global and whoever accidently lands on it.
My attitude is if you were stupid enough to land on it, read something, leave a comment
    and then "GGGEEETTTT OOOUUUTTT".

    JeunelleFoster.com
    1. DaneMorgan
Hey, did you know that right now readmystuffpunk.com is NOT registered? That would make a coolish blog name, for someone I think.
    2. Jeunelle
      @DaneMorgan...Yeah I think I still have BuyMyStuffPunk
and IamYoMamaPunk but I may not be using these in the future and may just give them up.
I have other plans that will take the place of those two domains.
I am still pissed that GoJumpInaLake was taken.
  3. Friday13
    1. Aside from some obvious sidebar buttons, all images and photos in it are made by me.
    2. My blog has a small book list page with a list of books (duh) that I've read and found interesting enough to write a short comment on.
    3. As time goes on, I write longer and longer posts and I don't try to shorten them in any way

A post that reflects the whole blog ... hmm, let's see ... there are a few ... oh! Here's one:

The tree, the stump and the blackout
    omarmodesto.wordpress.com/2008/11/02/the-tree-the-stump-and-the-blackout/
    1. DaneMorgan
How do you make Orchids grow on an Avacado stump?
    2. Friday13
I'd have to ask my mother for details, but it seems she just tied them to it and the roots just ... started growing. They've been there since long before the tree was cut down.
  4. CreativeJunkie
    1. I blog in my own informal, speaking "voice" meaning that occasionally, my posts will have run on sentences, or incomplete sentences, or incorrect grammar, or an expletive or two (but nothing to make your skirt or pants fly up).

    2. I have a very dry, self-deprecating sense of humor, and can find humor in almost anything, especially my kids, husband and lousy bladder.

    3. My main goal of my blog is to start my readers' day with a smile and hopefully a laugh or two.

It's hard to narrow it down to one post that reflects my blog's flavor ... they all do! I'll spare you the ones about my bladder. Here's a recent one:

No, Nate does not answer to the name Rudolph ...

    thecreativejunkie.com/?p=629
    1. DaneMorgan
I'm not sure which I enjoyed more. Your writing style or the way you decorate. I'm like all inspired to do some quotable decorating around here now.
    2. Friday13
      Great blog!
  5. MrCheeseburger
Ok, everyone is making me feel stupid, so I'll take another whack at this.

#1 My blog started out as a website to post my films and to give advice on computers, then as I was hanging some pictures I fell and it my head.

#2 I had absolutely NO traffic until I joined BlogCatalog. Sadly, this was after I hit my head.

#3 I type all of my posts with my feet.

    mrcheeseburger.blogspot.com/2008/07/thoughts-on-carnivals.html
A post from back in the day, before I hit my head.
    1. hatingtherain
      cheeseburger, you have feet?
    2. hatingtherain
and can i just call you "cheese" from now on?

cheeseburger just takes way too long to type out.
    3. MrCheeseburger
Of course. How on earth would I clip my toenails if I didn't have any feet?
    4. MrCheeseburger
Oooh, I like cheese. From now on, you may call me cheese.
    5. DaneMorgan
A surprise ending. Cool. I was expecting you to grab a cheeseburger and ride the thing again.

I have to ask though after reading that post, and this one here. Have you bought yourself a helmet yet? Your head is a magnet!

PS. I knew you could do it!
    6. MrCheeseburger
Alas, due to my irregularly shaped head, I cannot find a properly fitting one.
  6. whimsicalpam
When I think about it...my blog listing - has nothing to do with my blog:)
    3 things
    Outspoken
    Sarcastic
    ....and a little self righteous:)
One of my favorite posts and the one that I think sums up the "true" me
    whimsicalpam.blogspot.com/search/label/aging
    1. DaneMorgan
Come on, give me a little more on the three things. I'm asking all nice like and you know that ain't easy for me.
  7. whimsicalpam
A little more, like what Dane...specifics please:)
    1. Friday13
Three facts about your blog, like the above examples (except for the first reply ).
    2. DaneMorgan
      What Friday said.

Tell us how you decide what to post about, or why you started your blog, or who you write for, or what your goals are or what your main inspiration is...

Something that gets us all interested and makes us itch to click over and see what you're talking about.
  8. whimsicalpam
I post about things that I feel are wrong in society today. I post about parenting techniques...or the lack there of. I post about the constant whining and complaining of society.
My posting decisions are based on my current events. Common courtesy, do the right thing...even when it isn't the easy thing...
I think that if you look back through my blog, you'll find many posts that show the true me and why I blog. It's an outlet, but because I am a business - I have to tone it down a notch, every now and then.
    Allright boys...does that answer it:)
    1. Friday13
That does it ... but you forgot to number them
  9. whimsicalpam
    You're right Friday...outspoken is a little redundant:)
  10. Theresa111
Sorry Dane. I have to go to bed now. But Have a Happy Thanksgiving!
  11. whimsicalpam
    1) I post about things that I feel are wrong in society today. I post about parenting techniques...or the lack there of.

2)I post about the constant whining and complaining of society.

3)My posting decisions are based on my current events. Common courtesy, do the right thing...even when it isn't the easy thing...

Unofficial 4) I think that if you look back through my blog, you'll find many posts that show the true me and why I blog. It's an outlet, but because I am a business - I have to tone it down a notch, every now and then.

    Numbered and compliant
    1. DaneMorgan
So you made all of the jewelry showing at the top of your blog?
  12. HorsePucky
    1. The main goal of my blog is to have fun.
    2. I think society is one big comic strip and I enjoy poking fun at it. Humor can be found in just about everything.
    3. I love to make people laugh. It's a great way to relieve stress.

As to which post captures the flavor of my blog; they all cover different topics, so that's a tough one. Most recent post: "Guantanamo Bay Resort and Spa", then there's "Kitty Litter Cake"...both totally different.

    pam-horse.blogspot.com
    1. MrCheeseburger
I agree. Anything can be made funny, even the death of a loved one.
    2. DaneMorgan

  20. AnnStorer
    1. I give away freebies in an attempt to make the web (and the world) a more beautiful place.
    2. Most of my digital art takes me days to produce, while the hand-drawn stuff is done in a matter of hours, usually while watching Mythbusters.
    3. A lot of the art I make comes from my dreams - vivid images that won't leave my head until I recreate them in real life.

Two links, since there are two pretty distinct elements to the stuff I post:

Great topic, by the way. I love the responses you're getting here.
    1. MrCheeseburger
They are quite nice aren't they? Especially the ones by that cheeseburger guy.
    2. DaneMorgan
Wow. I'm just in awe of you artistic types who can go from a blank white surface to something like that. Stunning.
  21. hatingtherain
I don't have much on this blog yet, I just started it.

    1. I started it on a night when I was really depressed and pissed off. I'm NOT always like that.
    2. I am trying to make it an art blog, but it's turning into a whining blog.
    3. I'm hoping putting up unfinished art work will help me get inspired to actually finish the pieces I've already started.

  22. Anok
    OK,
    1. I don't just blog about politics, but often post about my artwork or random thoughts. ( identitycheck-anok.blogspot.com/2008/11/by-way-i-finished-that-goya.html )
    2. I actually have a sense of humor, but don't blog about it very often. ( identitycheck-anok.blogspot.com/2008/05/fashionistas.html )
    3. I apparently hold strange and different ideas when compared to typical Anarchists. I get a lot of hits for this post, and have caught some flak for it, too. ( identitycheck-anok.blogspot.com/2008/05/anarchist-parenting-why-discipline-... )

Oh, and I write REALLY long posts
    1. MrCheeseburger
You also post a LOT on the discussions.
    2. MrCheeseburger
It tends to do that sometimes.
    3. Anok
