Topics: three wise men
Just before I go out for the day I thought it would be nice to post this Red Panda wisdom.
The three wise men came from Tibet, they consulted the oracle and the oracle said a new Buddha was to be born in Bethlehem. An Arcturian Spacecraft led them to the baby Jesus.
What are your thoughts on Red Panda Wisdom?

I will be sharing other wisdom over the Christmas period, the world cannot wait any longer.

You have noticed that the idea of "three wise men" is not actually mentioned in the Bible? Read the story in read the story in Matthew 2:1-12.
They did not appear on the day and hour of Jesus' birth, but afterward, and they did not go to a manger in a stable, but to a house where Mary and Jesus were staying;
They were not simply wise men, or educated scholars, or local rulers, but "Magi";
The star had appeared at a certain time, and it moved independently, leading them to Bethlehem and stopping over the very house where the family were staying;
There were three gifts listed, but that doesn't mean there were three Magi present – the number of Magi is not mentioned, nor is it really important.
The Early Christian tradition attributes the Gospel to Matthew, one of Jesus' disciples. Beginning in the 18th century scholars have increasingly questioned that traditional view, and today most scholars agree Matthew did not write the Gospel which bears his name. Most contemporary scholars describe the author as an anonymous Christian writing towards the end of the first century. The consensus view of the contemporary New Testament scholars is that the Gospel was originally composed in Greek rather than being a translation from Aramaic or Hebrew. It is nearly universally agreed among scholars that Matthew (and Luke) used Mark's narrative of Jesus' life and death, plus the hypothetical Q document's record of Jesus' sayings while the minority argue that Matthew was the first, Luke expanded on Matthew and Mark is the conflation of Matthew and Luke. Of the four canonical gospels, Matthew is most closely aligned with first century Judaism. Matthew repeatedly stresses how Jesus fulfilled Jewish prophecies. Most scholars hold that the author was a Jewish Christian rather than a Gentile. (I got this from wikipedia but I learned it all years ago in Bible College. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gospel_of_Matthew)-

I do find what you say of great interest. And yes I was aware that the three Tibetans did not go to the stable, but it looks great on a Christmas card and is a great image to portray to children. Three wise guys holding gifts.
It is normal that when the great Bodhisattva's are born that the lamas do go looking for them and they get test the children by giving them various objects from the past to select from to confirm their identity. Quite frankly Jesus was a Buddha. It does not fit comfortably into the Christian point of view and he had all the markings of a Buddha. Although some Christians would find the concept offensive does not mean that he should be struck off the list of great Buddhas of the past so many thousand years.

People don't get what these Magi would have been, either. "Magi" is simply plural for "Magus." A Magus is a sorcerer. Simon Magus was one and he turned out to be a pretty bad one, according to Acts. But there have been good and bad Magi throughout history. And such have often been both revered and feared 2000 years ago.
From the practices of sorcerers, I would expect that these Magi, like most were eidetic. If they thought in a certain way, they would see what they are thinking in their visual fields. When cultivated in the various rituals that existed then (as now, at least in principle), such dreaming practices have a strange way of meshing with physicality so that the demarcation line between them becomes quite blurry. One might not even be certain just which world one really is at times.
What was the star, then? Some have suggested that it was a band of angels leading those Magi. Since theurgists, as Magi today are known to be, it makes sense that their dreaming practices would have been couched in the sacred concepts they already had. The star could very well have been that, whether others would see the star or not. A UFO; within the context of CG Jung's ideas about UFO's, mandalas, and individuation; would not be entirely outside the realm of possibility. Finding a Messiah would have brought all of them quite close to that magickal realization of completeness. But it would be a stretch to ascribe such an event to visitors from Alpha Bootes.
BTW, I don't know where the idea came that the Magi rode on camels. Chances are, they used horses instead as they would most likely have been from Mesopotamia or Persia, following the Fertile Crescent. -

No, they don't believe in the book of Red Panda. Also we have no celebrities. Hubbie has nothing to do we me, in fact I did hear that when he went to a zoo, he sneezed when he went near the incarcerated cousins of mine. At this is often what happens, when people encounter wisdom when they are not ready for it, a part of their brain acts up and they have an allergic reaction to truth. Not my problem.

What sax players do you like? In the 70's and 80's I had lots of albums by saxophone players, I used to really like saxophone but have eased up ythese days. Charlie Mariano is good, David Liebman, Phil Woods, John Surman, Sonny Fortune, Gato Barbieri and especially Jan Garbarek... there are so many

Well, it was an unidentified flying object - which is all a UFO is. People forget that and think UFO=spacecraft.
If it was a spacecraft - why Arcturian?
Yes the "wise men" were Magi which like mentioned before were sometimes sorcerers, magicians, or some other similar trade.
One does wonder why following a bright light that appears in the sky is considered wise - I mean if people did that today we would think them more silly than wise - just wondering.-
Barry... Merry Christmas
It had to be Arcturian, they are a pretty friendly bunch and they didn't go much on Herod and his buddies.
I used the word UFO only as a special affect so someone would see it. If I used Living Breathing Mobile Transport Apparatus, no one would have responded.
Why did they follow it? It had a really nice audio system and they were dancing and singing as they went
