After seeing Thriftshopromantic's post on her three years of blogging, mentioned here:
www.blogcatalog.com/discuss/entry/three-years-of-blogging-lessons-learned
Actual post here:

I was inspired to write one myself for mine.
Jenn aka Thrifty really sets the bar high when it comes to blogging, not only in her posts, but in her interactions with her fellow bloggers.
I also wanted to change the way my blog looked, using some of my doodles. So I now I have a shiny new template, which I love.
Today is the three years of blogging for me, so I have written a humongous post, well humongous for me.
crpitt.blogspot.com/2009/10/3-years-and-counting.html
So Discussion time:
I included a link to the wayback machine in the post, which archives your blog.
Is your blog on there yet?

Can you see yourself blogging for a long time?

Woohooo!! Congrats Claire! I will read your post now ^_^.
Well I do see myself blogging for a longer time. We shall see how the future goes! -
Congrats! I read your new posts via RSS.
Yes, I can see myself blogging for many years to come. I have so much to say! This is but the beginning. -
I'm guilty of the overlong thing too, at times. My post today, about my birth, ended up being so long I broke it into two parts...one for today, and one to get me off the hook for being creative tomorrow.

My blog in Spanish just turned 5 years! Holly cow, I didn't realize it until now! I'm really bad at posting consistently, I can be away from it for a couple of months and then I write 2-3 posts in 2 days, jajajaja. I will keep going at it even if no-one reads me
It is more for my benefit than anyone elses
-
It was because I saw very limited number of Spanish bloggers on Blogcatalog. I used to have a decent number of followers and people that I followed in Spanish, when I started my blog but, the move to the US and the jerk of my boss left me no time to write and when you don't write you lose readers :(. I picked it up recently and it is linked to facebook, I get a lot more comments on facebook than on the blog though. Also, I knew you lot (BC'ers) wouldn't visit me if you couldn't understand more than 2 words, jajajaja.
-
I have been here since June ;). One of my friends started a blog about weddings, she is a wedding-planner and she found BC, I found BC through her and got stuck here, jajajaja. My friend's blog is listed but she is not active in the discussions or anything. I was in need of a community and found a great one

I was replying to an email a friend sent me, she had said she hadn't seen me for ages. I told her not to exaggerate, it had only been a few weeks. Apparently it had been 3 months! whoops.
Proving that I have lost all sense of time.
Would you recommend that your friend use the discussions? Or would that be cruel and unusual punishment?

Wow the new template is fantastic. Really suits you. Love the doodles and all the cool stuff you included on the home page. As for the wayback machine -- Yes I'm there and what an eye opener that was. I guess we've all come a long way in the past several years.

Congrats on the 3 years! I think your blog is particularly interesting and unique because it's combined a lot of personal struggles, with a more upbeat twist, plus your counseling work.
Also, the doodles are a pretty hysterical look into your weird brain.
PS- Thanks for the props on my old three-years post. I'd be blushing, but you can't tell because my avatar is tie-dyed.

Congratulations, Claire! You're definitely a unique blend of spices. Compassion, creativity, humor, indignation, cynicism.

The new lay out is ++good.
Interesting looking at the historical polybore. Not much has changed except moving from white text on a black background to black text on a white background. Very polybore. -
the new layout is awesome. When I first saw it, it sparked my disatisfaction with my own theme again (hehe hey I've only redesigned it 11 times so far). So you

Your doodles make me smile (is that a Ziggy bathrobe?? Tell me it exists in real life!)
Happy writing, Claire. - Julia-
The dressing gown (bathrobe) is a Little Miss Naughty one
Yes it exists, I wear it all the time hehe.

I think she just likes Little Miss Trouble because she's always stirring the pot, just saying that one thing that will make someone boil over. Then, she steps aside to watch the show.
So... maybe it describes her a little bit. But she's 4 so it's early to decide that just yet.
And yes, we read the early Mr. books when I was young, and my kids love the Little Miss books now. We have Little Miss Trouble, Mr. Strong, and Little Miss Stubborn (another favorite.)

Three years of Claire blogging. Let's see...we've got war, climate change, recession...coincidence??? I think not. Somehow I always knew the English were behind it all.
