To tweet or not to tweet , that's the question

I have heard a lot about twitter but never used it.
Should i go for it ?
Does twitter have any benefits other than staying connected with ur friends?

Many bloggers claim that they receive a lot of traffic from twitter. I have not experienced this, however, I have spent very little time on twitter so I'm not surprised by that. I assume that like in anything else you will get back if you are willing to give. If you do decide to get an account these resources will be helpful:

Do it for fun to follow others. Don't do it thinking it will drive traffic your way. Use for fun.

I've enjoyed my time on Twitter. I've gotten to know other bloggers a bit better that way. And I do get clickthrus to my posts from there.

I think the trick is to find friends you'd enjoy "hanging out with" virtually. If you have a fun group, it makes the tool more interesting.

twitter is only cool if you have a good following. otherwise its whack. you can post on twitter all you want but nobody is going to even see it if theyre not following you. so when i post on twitter, all EIGHT of my followers see what i'm doing lol!

Definitely Tweet, FB is where u can connect with friends /family, but Twitter u can reach such a wide spectrum of people, and u can be all business or personal if u wish. But the beauty of it is u can only type in 140 letter for each tweet, so every one is to the point. Even Oprah and Ellen are on Twitter now, it's going mainstream. It's going to be the Google of Social Media. Go for it:)
