I have figured it out. After much research (one day of looking at frontpage entries) I have decided what it takes to get on the digg front page. So check it out, see if it helps and maybe give it a stumble...or a digg *wink wink*

pardon me but I'm oblivious .. what does those sites do "once you get there"?

Frontpage bids is a brand new site that tries to help you make money from hitting Digg's homepage - most people generally get lots of traffic when they get to the front page of Digg, but not many clicks on ads. You can read more about how they work on their about page: frontpagebids.com/about

The other link is a site where you can get an invite to join the site - they're in private beta testing at the moment, so you can't just sign up you need an invite from someone (you can get invites to lots of other private beta sites here too)

No, I just found out about it yeaterday, plus I've never been near the front page of Digg (if I get closer, I'll maybe sign up).

As if Digg doesn't have enough clutter from garbage people throw up there in an effort to create inbound links or generate a little bit of cheap traffic--this should really bring the "I have nothing to say but I want your money anyway" spammers out of the woodwork.

MadameX: I see your point, but I think the Digg users can handle the spammers quite well by burying all the crap submissions.

If I ever should get another post that make it to the front page, this could be a very nice option to earn some money from all the traffic (and bandwidth).

    1. "Ron Paul"
    2. "George W. Bush"
    3. "Xbox 360, Wii..." or "Game"
    4. "[NSFW]"
    5. "Sex"

If you've read that "viral marketing" article, you will notice that many times, they will create fictional dialogs to attract attention and using multiple accounts to Digg up!

I think the whole buzz about "secrets" and "tricks" and all that is nonsense. Say something unique and express it in an attention-catching way. People will read it, vote for it, and you'll get to the front page...sometimes. Not every time. If you're planning your subject matter around what's going to get you to the front page, it's pretty hard to believe that you actually have anything interesting to say on the subject.

    Glad everyone is liking it

In response to a few comments, That marketing thing does look pretty cool. And also just so everyone knows this was more written because I was semi angry with the content getting on the digg frontpage, it is almost always the same thing with a different title. SO I wrote this to kind of make fun of that in a way.
