I have a blog about Australia, teaching, being a geeky female student, and sometimes stuff about my websites.

I tend to answer people's questions, and blog about that, though sometimes I just make posts without anyone asking me anything.

I'd like some post ideas that will fit in with what I'm trying to do, but also would be either a little controversial, or really useful, so that people will comment a lot, or it'll be found by search engines a lot.

Any ideas?

    Narrow it down.

I've gotten huge amounts of traffic on posts about birth control in middle schools and the circulation of the Two Girls, One Cup video among middle-schoolers.

Daily life and what you are doing, lessons learned. I know giveaways do not attract attention. (Trying that now and have two people intrested) but I blog on pigs, bees, cooking and homesteading in general.

Here's some post ideas that might get read. If you are a young, geeky, single girl in Australia, you ought to have experience in a few of these.

    1. Top 5 ways to lose a guy in Australia
    2. Top 5 ways to find a guy in Australia
    3. Top 5 ways Australian guys are sexier than American men
    4. Top 5 ways American guys are sexier than Australian men
    5. Top 10 things you really need to know before visiting Australia
    6. Top 10 things you should never know before you arrive in Australia
    7. Why a boomerang? Can't they get anybody to play catch?
    8. 20 things never to do to a kangaroo
    9. Best excuses Australian policemen ever hear
    10. Worst excuses Australian police ever hear

That's a quick list. Good luck.

I'm geeky but not single, and I was never into the dating scene! I also know nothing about policemen.... Thanks for the list though, if you have any others that'd be awesome.

The fun is in going and finding out. It's probably EASIER to get the information if you are not personally looking for a relationship.

The stuff I love reading is when someone takes the initiative to get out and ask real-live people stuff that I hadn't thought of asking. The upside of my suggestions is that when you go out and ask some random lady in the supermarket line her favorite way to find/lose a guy, she'll share with you - and often, enlighten you. You cannot imagine the incredible stuff people share with me routinely in my work as a reporter because I am always asking bizarre questions and I'm not personally invested in the answers. That removes the pressure!

I don't know anything about that... since I've not been. Do you think a researched post would have an effect?

I'm hoping this one will come up when people look for gift ideas for their teachers.
