Toxic herbal supplements online!

Greetings pill poppers,

Flowers are amazed that some online herbal supplements contain dangerous levels of lead - where is the FDA when you need them?

Tried buying ephedrine online once!
Didn't use if for very long though (since it can kill you).
I think it's pretty easy to buy though.

Mineral supplements have that problem too. It's better to go with good companies instead of cheap ones.

Yes, it's about time for the FDA to step up its regulation of herbal supplements. There's too much reliance on unproven statements. People think that these pills are held to the same standards as pharmaceuticals. When will people learn that "natural" doesn't mean "safe"?

I don't buy supplements and if I did I would buy them in a good ole supermarket or even a chemist; for some reason I wouldn't trust online stores for anything medicinal.

And don't buy any prescription drugs from other countries. They are also tainted with lead and other impurities. Maybe our good old US of A drugs cost 10x those from other countries, but at least you can have confidence in their safety(maybe). Those old people who go to Canada on buses to obtain cheap prescription drugs are risking their lives.

It's about time the FDA cracked down on American's ability to purchase cheap prescription drugs from other countries.

I never buy herbal supplements on line.
I try to eat right to get the needed vitamins and minerals my body needs. My doctor wants me to take fish oil so I just eat more fish.
So far this is working fine for me.
Once the FDA steps in the herbal supplements will no longer be affordable they will become like the prescription medications. That's why they don't bother with them.
