Could you please tell me how old your blog is and what you have done so far to attract traffic? Meanwhile here are some starters for you.
Traffic promotion advice
(1) Write well and publish regularly. Keeping your blog updated with fresh and informative content will maintain reader interest.
(2) Reply to every comment.
(3) Link to your reader's related blogs and keep your blogroll updated.
(4) Be aware of your subscribers and subscribe to the feeds on their related blogs.
(5) Comment, comment, comment and comment.
(6) Backlink to posts published by faithful readers wherever possible.
(7) Learn basic SEO and structure a reader and search engine blog. In blogging content is king and marketing is queen. If you write high quality original content on a regular basis and promote it then the result may be an increase in organic traffic, or not. If it’s not easy to locate your content in search engines then there will be no increase in new traffic. onecoolsite.wordpress.com/2009/08/04/basic-seo-elements-for-bloggers/

(9) Use a Frequent Commenters widget to showcase those who leave the most comments.
(10) Promote and support the promotions of the blogs of your faithful readers at every opportunity that you can and everywhere that you can.
(11) Use twitter, friendfeed and join other social networks to promote your blog posts.

Do you think having 'Comment Luv' plugin on your blog will increase traffic or only increase number of comments?
-
I chose to deactivate mine. Following installation I noticed I had new commenters but the comments they left were not meaningful and I suspected they were posted only for the link. I deleted them. Time passed and then I began to receive auto-generated phony comments.
I went on the net and did some searching and I discovered that my blog had been placed on a "do-follow" blogs list, and that's why I was getting the flood of phoney balaoney and auto-generated comments so I deactivated the commentluv plgin.
