I have a new post on my visit to the Rodin Museum in Paris. The museum was located in the deeply romantic house where Rodin and Camille Claudel lived and worked together. Their affair had a famously tragic ending with Camille's mental breakdown and death in an asylum.

The House itself is very romantic in it's disrepair and is filled with Rodin's beautiful work.

What are your favorite tragic love stories: real or fictional?

I will start. I think one my favorite tragic love stories is the story of Antony and Cleopatra. Political ambition, greed, lust, corruption, passionate love, and death.

Well, I hope you won't think this is egotistical of me.....but I think my love story with Scott Peterson is the most tragic of them all. Nothing is more heartbreaking than having your soul mate, best friend, and paramour locked-up on death row. No way can Antony and Cleopatra top that, my friend!

Thank you, cookingasshole. It's too bad Shakespeare isn't alive today....he'd surely write a tragic love story about how cruel society is by keeping Scott and me apart.
  4. cookingasshole
Even Shakespeare could not put your love into words

What about Laura Bush and the boyfriend she killed after he dumped her.

Agit8r, may I introduce you to Google? It is a search engine.
    4. Agit8r
did you find anything on it?

I would look, but after putting Google Analytics on my conspiracy blog, Janet Napolitano is probably personally reviewing my google searches now

Thank you, Agit8r. I don't care what anybody says -- nobody has a more tragic love story than mine with Scott!

Start a "nice, clean one," instead. Apparently that does the trick.
    3. MissSuzie
Please...no more nice, clean threads. They get me in trouble.

The most tragic love story was between Gene Wilder and Daisy, the sheep:

  15. LisaNYC
Why? You don't consider Gene Wilder and the sheep that "tragic"?
