Do you like travelling or would you rather spend your holiday at home?( by travelling, I mean travelling abroad)
What do you like most about travelling?
Where would you like to go next, what place would you like to see the most?

I liked travelling more (& took advantage whenever I could,) when I was younger. I appreciated the opportunity to do/see/enjoy something totally new.
These days I prefer to stay home. We have a beautiful place out in the woods with none of the stresses of travel, so why not? *L* We even honeymooned here.
Still & all, I hope to get to Wales before I die. Always had a strange fascination with it.

I love traveling. I will probably be visiting some countries in Europe this comingSpring. I would like to visit Italy, Germany, Cyprus, New Zealand, Spain, Croatia, etc.

I don't have a compelling need to travel to different countries (been there and done that), but I wouldn't say no if the opportunity arises. We were supposed to go to Crete this year, but it got canceled. However we will be visiting Ann Arbor, Michigan and San Fransisco in coming months (business related). May not sound exotic to Americans, but for a british expat it is culturally interesting to me.

I have been traveling the Middle East for the last 10 months, currently in southeastern Turkey.

Traveling long term is an experience, it makes a person see how spoiled the western world really is.

Seeing how people live in countries where they speak another language and have a different way of life is good to open narrow minds

I agree traveling does open the mind from being brainwashed.

Today I am in Southeastern Turkey, in an area nobody speaks English, although I get by just fine and people are very friendly.

The propaganda has the West in their hands of control and manipulation. From traveling the Middle East the media is filled with lies. The Middle East is a very safe, friendly place to visit.

America is good at keeping people in debt, a control tactic. They would not want the majority to travel.

I agree with you. The best way to make your mind up on whether you like one country/people or not is to go there. The medias in general(not only in the West though) are very manipulative. Most people don't even think they can be lied to... they think everything they hear in the news is true and impartial but generally it is being used for political purposes(ie: the Russia v Georgia war.).
But that is another topic. I got carried away there...

I might go to Georgia once I am in Kars, Turkey—we will see what it is like.

The world media is all about fear.

I used to love traveling--but then I met my husband almost 9 years ago and a year later, started traveling back and forth across the country every two weeks because his business is in both Boston and San Francisco. Now I don't like traveling much at all. I still like goint to new places but I hate having to take planes to get there.

When I do travel, I rarely check luggage, which makes it better--and also because we travel as much as we do, we can upgrade to 1st class, which is important to me because I have some fairly severe spine problems. I used to travel each trip with my husband but now I only go every other time--and even that is too much!
