I find it necessary to make some as I sit here guarding my pumpkins and handing out candy.
feel free to add some of your own.
1. if you already shave, legs or face, you are too old to trick or treat.
2. if you have babies o your own you are too old to trick or treat
3. if you drive yourself and your friends from house to house you are too old to trick or treat

What if it is the adolescent brother/sister forced to take his/her little siblings trick or treating? I think s/he deserves some candy too!

Here the teenagers come out after 7 or 8 and by then we shut the door- At my mom's. No one is brave enough to come to my house at all. I live in the middle of nowhere.
-Just got back from taking my son at my mom's and no one I mean no one is out here or participating this year. -
we got more teenagers than little kids this year. it was kind of sad. out of about 30 trick or treaters only appx 10 were kids, the rest were teens. the weather was pretty bad today though.

I agree with you on not as many trick or treaters. We go up by my Aunt's house who is in town here too and she said she only had about 55 kids before the rain hit. We got back to her house just before the rain hit. A few years ago when I didn't have kids to take out so I was home to hand out candy, I went through 10 big bags of candy in the first hour.

I took my youngest out, my oldest went with her dad tonight. There aren't too many older kids here that go out. Our town takes Halloween very seriously, a lot of people sit on their porch just so you know they are handing out candy. We went down 2 streets that was about 4 blocks and her bag was overflowing. It mostly is the younger kids out here though. 1 house goes all out and creates a haunted maze with strobe lights and people jumping out at you. We have a parade that goes passed my house tomorrow with all sorts of decorated cars and much more. The people in the parade throw candy at the kids as they pass. It is pretty cool. We have a corn maze steam train ride too. But yet with all the issues we have in town, it is considered an urban town, nobody does anything for mischief night!
