Troy Davis is on death row in Georgia.

He's been convicted of killing a police officer. No doubt about it: that's a serious crime. Thing is, he says he didn't do it: and now prosecution witnesses are saying the same thing.

The easy thing to do is sit still and let the State of Georgia kill him.

I suggest contacting the governor of Georgia, and asking for a stay of execution until an appeal can be sent to the Supreme Court.

Then, if the conviction holds, the State of George can go ahead and poison him.

I'll admit to bias here: although I'm not convinced of Troy Davis' innocence - or guilt - the case against him doesn't seem as strong as it could be.

And, once somebody's dead, not even the Supreme Court can un-do the sentence.

Political? I don't think so. For Troy Davis, it's a personal matter. He probably wouldn't mind you butting in, though.
