Has anyone purchase the Upside Down tomato tree? If so, are your tomatoe plants growing up or down?

I bought a couple of them two months ago, and I thought the tomatoe plants would grow downward. Instead, they are all growing up. What a dissapointment!

Um.. what now? Upside down tomato tree? Wow, talk about a mind-boggler..

Do you mean the type that you put in some sort of hanging set up or what? I'm just generally really confused and somewhat amused at the idea of an upside down tomato tree..

      Yes, you heard right! lol
It's an upside down hanging bag where your tomatoe plants will grow down instead of up--only mine are growin up. They claim that gravity will pull the plant down. Isn't it funny!

Maybe you have to wait until it starts bearing tomatoes, maybe it will then be taken care of by gravity? I don't know, but I would think growing down would be a little "unnatural" in some way. And, you could try weighing it down in some way, with a little string or something? Now, I'm no gardener and I'm horrible with plants, so don't trust me

Um, tomato plants naturally grow upwards because they move towards the sunlight. There is no special upside down tomato plant. It is just a regular tomato plant that protrudes out the bottom opening of a hanging container filled with soil. You probably would have saved money by planting a sprouted tomato plant in a bucket with a hole drilled underneath.

I concur, that makes a lot of sense.
