I'm looking for people who want to join me in educating the public and advocating for victims of abuse, and abuse victims themselves to join a new advocacy group.
Especially interested in meeting bloggers who focus on these topics.
Survivors are not born, they are made. Through circumstances beyond our control we became victims, but taking that control back is what makes us survivors. When our circumstances no longer control us, but we begin to control our circumstances then we become thrivers.
Wherever you are in your journey, please join us. You are not, and will never be alone. Through educating and advocating, we can change the world one life at a time.

HI. my blog wwww.cultofdeception.blogspot.com is all about the journey of overcoming the damaging effects of child abuse and rape. It's a lifetime sentence for those of us who were victims. But moving beyone and using what happened for some good is possible. Sarah

Your sister is welcome, and I would be willing to help her in any way I can.
We all heal at different rates and in different ways. If you are looking or ways to help your sister I have a beginners advocacy lens at Squidoo that has some ideas. www.squidoo.com/victim-survivor-thriver
The important thing when helping a rape or abuse victim is seeking to empower them, helping them find ways to become stronger and more in control of their life a little bit at a time.
You are very sweet for being so concerned, a huge part of healing is familial support. She is very lucky to have you. thank you for joining us. -
I too believe in the goodness of people and tell my kids all the time, there are more good people in the world than bad. When I think of all that happened, I wonder sometimes why I accept that but I believe we are meant to live with peace. To live with pain and hatred for me, is to be constantly in conflict with life. I chose different.
