A restaurant in Arizona hires girls to dress up as slut nurses, not sexy nurses.

I would just like to give awareness that there is a big difference in the words "Sexy" and "Trashy."

You are speaking of the "Heart Attack Grill". It's a theme restaurant with several locations and very successful. Although, I've never eaten there, I have passed the Phoenix location many, many times. The waitresses are in "sexy" nurse uniforms - doesn't appear inappropriate.

MMMM, damn those real nurses look real hot and slutty. I think the medical community could really benefit from these women. Sounds to me that somebody is quite envious of these lovely, fascinating ladies.

  They are not real nurses. If you know they are not real nurses and calling them 'real nurses', then I hope the next time you're in the hospital, they are your nurses =)
  
  As far as jealousy, if you are a part of my group on either myspace (or some other), you would probably disagree with what you said and leave with your jaw open ;] Naughty naughty!

  Hooters is sexy. I do go there lol. At least they use 'Hooter Girls' as mascots and not 'Nurses' as mascots.

A quick glance at that is ..They simply “discourage practicing and potential nurses, encourage sexual violence, and lessen respect for nursing. When you combine this lack of respect, the intense college-level training nursing actually requires, and the difficulty and stress of nursing practice, it is no surprise that the profession remains in the midst of a global shortage driven by rampant short-staffing.”

It’s a big issue in the hospital world. That's what I was getting at.

I'll leave this as that. Hope you understood. There is a fine line between sexy and slutty. Sexy attracts. The other attracts nonsense.

  I find that hard to believe. I don't think that would discourage someone from becoming a nurse. I'm certain that's merely someone's opinion, and not based on fact. I can realy imagine some 18 year old girl, a potential nursing student, walking into that restaurant and going "My, Now I'll never be a nurse. Nurses are SEXY."
  
  I think the lack of people wanting to take up nursing has more to do with not wanting to deal with needles, blood and bedsores than the potential that they might be sexy. And what about male nurses?

Sexy and slutty are interchangeable depending on the situation. In this case, I'd go for "sexy slut nurses".

Having worked for years in hospitals, I've known a great many genuinely slutty nurses. And a lot of times they also had a reputation for being mean. Those are nurses who degrade their profession far more than restaurant mock-ups.

No, I wouldn't want to eat at a restaurant because their wait staff is dressed up to emulate this sort of thing. I had enough of that for real.

distinction: slutty can be sexy. At least in our brains. Everyone's definition of what is "sexy" is unique and conforms to our own interpretation.

As for calling them "real nurses" - I'd suspect that there is no real expectation on the part of the patrons to receive actual medical care from the "nurses" on staff. Althouth perhaps like the inhabitants of the castle Anthrax they have at least received a basic medical training.
