(If you want a visit + post, head over to www.blogcatalog.com/group/blog-catalog-explorer )

I've been doing a fun little blog the past few days where I use the BC directory page as a starting point, click through to a blog 'til I find something I want to share, then post the link trail from start to finish. You can see what I mean here: bcexplorer.blogspot.com

What are people's thoughts on this?... Its extremely basic at the moment but I'm thinking of maybe adding notes on what the person's blog's about, my likes/dislikes of the site, marks out of 10 etc. Also, I'm trying taking invites and starting out from people's BC blog pages instead of from the directory page (see the group link above.) I'll find something on their site that I like & stop there.

One of the reasons its fun is because its so simple - I want to keep it basic & easy but still add something more. Thoughts anyone?...

To encourage people to put it their 2 cents, anyone who gives useful feedback will get a visit + post (I'll pick one of your blogs through your profile if necessary)

I like the idea, Would be nice to see a bit more colour. Perhaps having alternate shades for each post.

Good idea - I think alternate colours would be a bit fiddly for me to do though, especially on blogger, but I added some pics last night (I was too tired to come back here and say at the time)

Hi, you can take your pick

But you could use a sticky page at the top of the blog explaining what the chain of links mean or at the start of each post. maybe something like " how I use blogcatalog to find fascinating sites...."

Good idea about the sticky post, I'll add you to my list of people to visit - Chris is first on the list for his 'add some colour' comment
