... be passionate about what you write about. If you're not passionate about it, it will fizzle, stopping dead in its tracks.

"Oh but I am passionate ... passionate about making money!"

Well, I am sorry to say. It will show in your writings. You ever go to a car lot or commission-based store? Everyone is excited and happy to serve you, except all of that help they have to generously give always ends up at their product. And at first their sugar coated appeals to you, there seems to be no alternative in their mind.

Similarly, I've read many bloggers who blog for the sake of money and it shows. I don't even have to read the lines, "Oh yea, I'm getting paid to do this."

The problem with this approach is that, with the least bit of downfall, the blogging stops or stammers.

When you are passionate about blogging, it will show. You need to put money aside. You need to think, "What am I really passionate about?" and then write about that because you are passionate about that.

Personally, I am passionate about writing (I am lucky there!) and seeing the best in others. That is why I am writing this. If someone wants to mail me a $100 check, that's great. But it probably won't happen, and I'll continue my day smiling.
