The solution to this problem actually lies in the hands of your boss. The mindset of every individual differs. Certain bosses maybe prudent, recalcitrant, dreadful while some maybe amiable, magnanimous and easy-going. A problem can be solved only when explored from its roots, in the same manner for galvanizing ones senior, his basic behavioral patterns should be known to his employees. The boss may not
react to your hard work, the way you expect him/her to. Hence it’s necessary to gauge the state of mind of your boss before articulating with him.

The first and foremost factor to keep your boss smiling is to deliver the best at the quickest. Every institution demands positive results and when an employee contributes in the progression of a company, his boss is bound to be happy. Also the deadlines are crucial. If not met with, the company is at loss and any kind of loss leads to an unhappy boss.

Bosses hate stubbornness in their employees. That doesn’t mean you bow to every advice given to you by your boss. If you feel that you have a better perspective towards a particular topic than your boss then you should contribute your thoughts. But you cannot be too aggressive. Also when your boss points out a mistake, it is not advisable to give unappealing subterfuge.

Consistency is another factor that your boss expects from you. One day you incur profit and other day loss, then it is as good as a goose egg. Your work should be balanced and harmonious. Approach each day as your first day and work with the same zeal to deliver the quality performance.

Maintain a code of conduct. You might be friends with every individual in the organization but when at work, professionalism comes first. Employees who are more fond of socializing and gossiping are not entertained by their boss. Sometimes you can divulge into unofficial activities but it should not be perpetual.

Procrastination is a major hindrance for the company’s growth. It only leads to over-burden which may breed stress and finally hamper the quality of work.

Do not over commit. You should know your capacity and only then contravene. The desire to accomplish things beyond your capacity may backfire. Flaunting emphasizes lack of skills.

Ask questions when you don’t follow a particular issue. It shows that you’re interested in what your boss says and plan to give your best towards it.

Have the audacity to take up new responsibilities otherwise your work tends to become monotonous and you are never noticed by your boss. Take up a gauntlet,Explore new avenues and design models to inculcate them with 100% profit.
Some other factors that might help an employee are good presentation skills and also a smiling face always has an appealing effect. These characters if inculcated in oneself will yield a healthy relationship between you and your boss.
