When I say healthy, I mean Mind , Body and Soul.
Do you meditate? Eat aw Foods? Dink Herbal Teas?
Run??

I ask these questions because my health is awful. I need to change my diet (according to my Dr) and sleep more etc...
Taking Iron Pills Subscribed to me. I didn't know being with Chronic Anemia will cause hair loss

I thought it was the craziness of the East Coast lol

I also have to get some genetic testing done to see if my Anemia is Hereditary.

When I say I need to get change my life style i mean from food, to even the soap I shower with. Lots of allergies.

This brings my mood down....

Laughter works for me. I try not to take things so seriously.
Bubble baths, massages, herbal tea, exercise, yoga, eating light one day a week to aid with digestion.
I fill up on papaya enzymes and other enzymes to clean out my stomach, take a multi vitamin.
These are some of the things I do, I don't put all my eggs in one basket.
I play around and try all kinds of stuff to stay healthy.
You can visit me at my Yoga site if interested.

I quit smoking a few months ago, and that has definitely helped a lot.
I try to exercise regularly and pamper myself with massages and spa treatments, especially after a very busy week.

Understand my system and body, use in moderation and don't worry about.

I have observed some people worry about their health, they are unhealthy because f their worries.

my exercise is from a hand bike I can set on my desk since my back is so screwed up. I set it up and watch my online tv shows or listen to music while I do it. I also have a new blog that I am starting to put sit at your desk exercise videos on www.bradstinyworld.com/fatnomore/

For me reading for pleasure is as good better than any other sort of meditation. A book with a couple fingers of good bourbon or scotch is a great way to unwind.

I usually drink a protein shake then work out for a few hours then drink another protein shake. During this time I watch tv to help absorb the world around me

You all have different methods of staying healthy and they all sound really good.

i stay healthy by reading diet books and watching workout videos and taking 3 to 4 mile jogs in the car (except that is getting expensive with the price of gas an all). anyway, i've found once you get in the routine it's really hard to stop.

I walk 2 miles/day 5 days a week and I also do 30 min of cardio exercise 5 days a week. I use the free exercise on demand on my cable so I don't have to worry about going to the gym. I'm super busy w/the 3 kids and several businesses. I also love to eat but I always make sure to stop eating before I get full.

Go to yoga class three times a week, and do a little bit each morning.
Biking--including 175 miles over this past weekend (100 Saturday, 75 Sunday, lying around in pain and exhaustion today) for the MS society.

I just embarked on my own "journey" to health early this year, after finally feeling like I had time to deal with my own health issues instead of my son's. I did a lot of food allergy/sensitivity testing, and have now cut out wheat, milk, eggs, and lots of other things. I'm hoping I can add most of the things back in after awhile, but the wheat/milk will be for life. I'm eating a lot more "whole" foods than I used to and I can honestly say for the first time in my life I'm getting the recommended servings (8-10) of fruits/veggies every day. My anemia went away, thyroid problems are better, arthritis stopped, blood pressure went up (I was dangerously low), and as an added bonus I lost 15 pounds despite eating more calories than anyone I know! I eat all the time! So that's fun.

Now I just need to get to exercising more and getting more sleep. It's definitely a process. We use chemicals sparingly in our home and use mostly baking soda/vinegar/salt for cleaning. We also use very healthy and/or homemade shampoos, lotions, etc.

Good luck on finding your own health! It's hard sometimes.

i play basketball a lot. it's easy to stay healthy like that cause it's fun.
and i walk all over campus. walking is very relaxing. you don't have to be in any kind of shape, just go for a half hour walk and get some fresh air, you'll feel so much better.

Healthy = healthy mind, healthy food, healthy attitude.
Keep a positive mind, eat fruits, vegetables and white meat, drink a lot of water, sleep enough, laugh, enjoy what you are doing, ...good enough ?

Find a physical activity that you enjoy doing. I don't exercise, I work construction and I love my job. The physical activity helps my insomnia, if my body is tired, I sleep better.
I try to eat something that is uncooked everyday to keep my enzymes up (Fruit or vegetable or maybe yogurt).

I think you will find that getting your Iron from green leafy vegetables is better than taking supplements. You can also avoid the side effects like constipation. I'm not a doctor so don't stop taking anything without talking to your doctor.

I started to get into natural remedies to make myself feel better. If you can stomach it, buy some apple cider vinegar (not the water thin vinegar). Also, make sure the bottle says "with the mother" which is a thick cloud of vinegar usually floating on the bottom of the bottle. Don't be scared though...

It has so many benefits. I have a health issue that has improved drastically since I started taking 1/4 cup a day. It tastes horrible but I say the benefits really outweigh the taste. I also take echinacea tablets faithfully. I also swim once a week, and was on iron pills but have weaned myself off of them. I honestly feel like these two treatments have saved my life. I wish you the best.

I stopped crossing the road. (too dangerous)

Actually I just had a sleep assessment done. I am a very loud snorer and apparently could signify sleep apnea - causes among other things high blood pressure, tiredness, mental impairment (as many here can testify to!) So I could end up sleeping with some sort of air mask.

You all have some really good ideas here.
I need to get used to eating more raw foods.
Most fruits make me puke, but I try to hide it in something . Like a fruit salad to get a variety of fruits. My fav fruit is pineapple and worse is bananas ( I hate this devil fruit )

Even when the snow is on the ground I will continue to walk and get some exercise. I like hiking in the snow too.
