What are the best press release websites?

I usually utilize two scources for my internet press releases but this last time I used about twenty.
I'm developing opinions already - in the first twenty four hours one site (my usual service) took ten hits while another took over two hundred.
I'm not releasing my verdict yet. What are your favorite press sites?

I would say the best one is PR web but it cost about $360 per press release and it tends to be very strict about its rules. For example you only can put 5 links only and I think its 500 words only.
Second is PRleap which is free but its not that great for promotion.
Its totally up to you
Hope this helped

I've used PRWeb extensively and been very happy with the results in terms of circulation and links. The option I always used was $200 and I've never run into problems with word count or number of links--occasionally they will put an editorial hold on something if they think it has too many links or there is some other question, but I've always found that to be easily resolved with a phone call.
All that said, I haven't used them much since they merged with Vocus earlier this year; I know that their tracking and statistics took a definite turn for the less useful shortly after that happened, and I'm not really sure whether there have been other changes since.

I'm happy to read the informative remarks about PRweb. May also want to look at PRnewswire.
I scanned the page too quickly, and just saw kevingoodman's comment. I agree with him; it's outstanding and has continually provided results far beyond beyond expectations. -
That is very expensive. Try Transworldnews.com

PR Newswire is the best as far as Tier 1 press release distribution goes. If you are looking for search engine seeding and for SEO purposes then a wide variety of sites for distribution would probably be good.
FOr example my site whilst not giving you allot of traffic with just 100 visitors a day (its only a week old) does have a PR4 ranking on Google so this should work to your benefit. If you want your press rlease on Google fast, press releases are usually published in 4-6 hours and you can expect a position of between #1 and #3 on google for your chosen search term (which will be the start of your headline).
Of course you need to consider how hard it is to submit your release to these sites, registration if required etc.
No registration, simple process for press release submission jkhanok.com-
