What Are You Doing for Fathers Day?

Are you planning on doing anything cool for your husband / partner / dad / stepdad this Sunday?

I am hoping to do a brunch with everyone! Still trying to decide on gifts though.

I'm gonna get my girlies to make some cards though. They love doing that.

What are you doing?

My kids will be spending the weekend with their father. My brothers and I will probably take our dad golfing (he sucks at it, but loves to play).

Hopefully, my wife and daughter will do nothing. A perfunctory hug on my birthday is enough father-recognition for the year.

I'm not doing anything, my father and I do not get along at the best of times.

I'm going to have a summer solstice party with my friends instead.
That said, I wish all fathers a happy day on Sunday.

  sorry to hear that. My birth father passed away while we weren't speaking. Sometimes the stuff we the children are RIGHTFULLY angry about are really not worth it in the end. Even if you don't do nothing, how about a call or text?

  I live with him but we haven't had a proper conversation in years. He only ever talks to my siblings and I if he wants to yell at us or complain, he has been no father figure of mine, so I don't see why I should treat him as such.
  
  It will be easier if I just leave the house for the day so he can do whatever and doesn't have to kick up a fuss about something, that will be my gift.

  Yeah, it's real nasty. It usually requires roasting meat over a hot coals. Add some BBQ sauce, and you can make it as nasty as you want.

Aah father's day!

I never celebrated when I was younger because I didn't have much of a father but since my hubby is an involved dad we make him feel special with gift brunch and all around feel good day.
