What are you doing on father's day?

I admit to not participating in Father's day for thirty years of my life. Since the birth of my first child I began celebrating the event. This year I'm a little upset though. I find myself baking a cake for my husband for my birthday. Grrr... Why did father's day have to fall on my birthday this year. If I can anything close I will be happy.

Father's Day is on the last Sunday of July for us, so ... I haven't thought about it yet.-

June 21st here. Summer solstice, my birthday, father's day. I'm working for my birthday. He better get me a seriously good gift for the hours I put in to this cake. -

I sent my dad a gift-- a cool nautical antique lamp I rewired and a small old book-- and will call him. He lives some distance away from me, so visiting isn't possible.-

I think I find it a bummer because I never did Father's day until recently. Ummm... could be I don't know what normal is? I'm actually kind of serious.

Well, you have some extenuating circumstances. So I can understand why you might feel that way.
Better to have Father's Day with your husband and celebrate it in a more positive light. -
He's excited about the cake but I would pay good money to see him do the same. (best evil laugh)
